My battery life sucks (haven't tried this upgrade ROM yet though but sure it'll be the same issue) and I'm running chevyz kernel, at 1000 mhz, is it the ROM or kernel that really kills me and what should I do?
People say the stock is working great? That include battery life?
And how do you get rid of a kernel on the device to stock?

Depends on what "sucks" means. On 0.7.0 I was getting 16-20 hours of moderate use and my battery would be down around 40%. This was with what is now stock kernel on 0.8.4.

Sucks as in playing Cestos for 3-4 hours will kill it.

And answer how to get rid of chevys kernel and keep the stock one they give you?? Or when I upgrade will it automatically be on there??

And random question, how can I make it so the stock messaging app doesn't have that annoying pop up messaging thing? It kicks me out of Cestos app =/
The settings doesn't seem to stop it.

When you upgrade and wipe data/cache, the stock kernel will be there. For stock messaging, just go into it's settings and disable notifications.

Just wipe data and install the new Rom it will install the stock kernel with it. Regarding your message pop up. Are you using sms popup??

Hoping that the chevys ULV 1.1 kernel was the problem. Even though sapphire only made it go to 1000 mhz for some reason.

Temps seem good, but I would like to be able to see cpu temp - I'm sure the kernel guys are working on it.

I hope they do, I really miss seeing the CPU temp.

A question to the devs, maybe for the next release, you could look into getting 10 or 5 percent battery increments in the notification bar? That would be awesome.

10% battery is already there. It is found in the GEM settings app under show/hide

Dude 1Ghz is more than enough for phone.. I sometimes run it at 800Mhz and its still fast and smooth :icon_ banana:

First: What??

Second: The stock messaging app, someone texts me, then the pop up of texts pop up, I don't want that to pop up. It kicks me out of Cestos. I use Handcent only

The popup is from Handcent. The option to turn it off is in the Notifications settings I believe.
