The 3 "current" Moto devices were supposed to complement each other, aimed towards different audiences; though. There is room in the market for more than one device by a given manufacturer, look at laptop lineups.
Droid Bionic = 4G LTE slate style phone with removeable battery, aimed at customers desiring a traditional slate phone
Droid RAZR = 4G LTE "thin and light" slate style phone, nonremoveable battery is a tradeoff for the "thin and light" form factor
Droid 4 = 4G LTE QWERTY slider, sharing RAZR "thin and light" profile. Again, battery is a tradeoff
Droid RAZR Maxx = 4G LTE "still pretty thin and light" slate style phone with larger nonremoveable battery - don't think it was a planned model from the get go, rather an answer to those desiring an extended battery option
Moto isn't Apple, nothing wrong with having several choices.
I agree about that, never been a huge fan of Samsung build quality as far as phones go. I just like my games, so I don't like old GPUs.
Intel Atom is a single core design. It runs with the best chipsets currently out there, which is why it is such a game changer. A dual-core Atom would probably run right up there with the top quad-core mobile chipsets.
So long it doesn't have GB still.. haha! I'm sure it won't, though.
Anyways, I would love this phone if it feels better in the hand than the other RAZR's do. While the MAXX is a little better, it just feels too wide due to the thinness and square edges verses rounded edges.

Dagnab it!... Now I want the Razr HD again.
I was all set to pre-order the Galaxy S3 and just move on from Motorola's mythical beast... "luckily", Verizon wanted me to pay up front, instead of charging it to my phone bill. I don't like to pay for stuff sight unseen, and anyhow I'm broke till the end of the month, so I declined. If I HAD pre-ordered, then changed my mind, I'm sure it would be a dark nightmare getting the order cancelled and getting a refund. Maybe, maybe not.
ANYHOO, I had talked myself into the SGS3, partly because of that 4.8" screen and partly in anger at Moto... but every time I see new evidence of the Razr HD, I fall back in love with it--even though I'm sure it will be $300 versus the SGS3's $200. It's like a high-maintenance ex-girlfriend I can't get over...LOL
So, it's back to the waiting game! Bring it on, Motorola!

No, it was pretty easy returning. I had to cancel the order and reorder it to go from the 32 gb to the 16 gb. Even if they didnt refund it you could return it when you get it.
I dont know whether this has been asked yet, but ill ask the obligatory question: will it have a locked bootloader? With Google being the owner now and Jha out, I wonder if this policy will change now? I rather doubt it will, but crazier things have happened.
The side view looks kind of iPhoneish.
I preordered The SGS III as well and am excited to get away from Motorola hardware. I have the Droid X and it has been a great phone for me. No doubt Moto has good hardware, but as of late my DX has become extremely slow in opening and navigating applications.

I don't think you can go wrong with either phone ..

13meg cam,over kill or not?Me personally,I think over kill just like Quad core.Havnt really seen a really nice cam on any moto products.
