i dont need one since my door operates fine. Though if given the option i would of gotten one for the just in case moment. Why would i get three. I don't even believe in global warming but still i'm not going to just waste material that could be used in constructing something else.

free droid battery door !!!

i dont need one since my door operates fine. Though if given the option i would of gotten one for the just in case moment. Why would i get three. I don't even believe in global warming but still i'm not going to just waste material that could be used in constructing something else.
Either way its going to someone. The material couldn't be used for making something else, it's a battery door.
If you were at sam's club and they were handing out FREE samples of food, and u really liked it, it would be perfectly fine to get more then one since it's free and no one says u can only have one. Of course the people who don't get to taste the new food are gonna be kinda upset, but hey first come first serve. And guess what... There's a whole room stocked with this new food at the wear house so soon the people that didn't get to taste the sample will have another chance next time "sam's club" is giving away free samples

I don't understand getting things for free just because, I agree with you, it is a waste of materials.
Honestly you shouldn't let anyone know. People who are trying to sell these will most likely forget about it and move to the next big thing to make them rich, while the people who need them will check back later.They are out of stock...

LOL i give up. For being adults a lot of you have no brains. And anyways my sister is getting a droid to so im giving her a battery cover. Lock me up in jail since i have an extra battery cover! OMG im such a bad person! And the supplies for the battery cover were already allocated to be used for the droid battery door. Even if i didnt get 3 it wouldnt mean they would save this metal and mold something else lol. Ignorant! Honestly i probably wont even sell any on ebay it was just an idea but 15$ isn't alot of profit. Thanks for making a simple free battery door into a heated argument. Not just directed toward u... This goes out to any 1 complaining about people getting more then 1.
I found it very amusing when seeing all the battery doors for sale on ebay now! What a joke! If your door (cover) won't stay on - go back to the VZW store and they'll give you one for free (well, now you may have to wait for them to replace inventory). Why buy on eBay something that is available free?
And tell me - how many folks REALLY have an ACTUAL issue with their covers falling off? Seems most of the comments here on this thread are "well, I just ordered three for future issues should mine comes off, it's fine now, but I just want a backup"...
I'd laugh if it's really not the door itself, but the holes that the clips slip into..
By the way - I use a gel cover, my door has had no issues to date, and even if it did become loose - the gel cover would keep it from falling off.

Mine fell off in a diner Friday night. I didn't even realize it -- one of the waitresses found it and was walking around asking who had dropped it.

LOL, there is a saying nothing is for free. You are paying for them in the long run. Any cost that Verizon or Motorola (whoever is actually paying for these) incurs is felt by the consumer at some point in time. My guess would be that these are the better doors that everyone is receiving. If you do not use a case and your door wiggles at all my suggestion would be to get one of these. If you do use a case or your door is solid I wouldn't worry about it. Its nice to see that they addressed the problem before a lot of people had very poor experiences with this.
