free droid battery door !!!

They're out of stock because jerks over on fatwallet and slickdeals where this was originally posted were getting three or six at a time even if they didn't own droids. One guy said "Ordering three just to screw verizon out of shipping...I don't even own a droid!" then another guy said "ordering them to see what I can get on ebay!"

People are greedy. Heck, people even on this board were ordering three when they didn't even need them. Now when someone ACTUALLY needs a free replacement they can't get one because everyone went nuts ordering something they didn't even need.

VZW could easily limit it to those that actually own a Droid. There will be no market for these on eBay. If anyone needs one they can call or go to any Verizon Wireless store and ask...you will be sent what you need. Or simply wait a day and order online. Non-issue. For all of the whining and BS I have not seen many (any) "MY battery door slips off" posts.

Dunno if it was mentioned already but motorola.com offers them for free outright.

It's sad when VZ charges 5.00 for them and m.com gives them for free... I hope no one bought them from VZ

people really need to chill out and really stop trying to start cyber arguments. It's a battery door. If VZW wants to give them away that's their right, just as anyone who ordered them has a right to do what they please with them. Whether they make 30 cents or 15 bucks on ebay, or use all three interchangeably or store them in a drawer what does it matter?
