Well Seems I got a "second" door today.... not sure how that happened.. but I haven't even opened the package.

Assuming someone can be honest.. LOL!

I have an extra door for someone who is having trouble getting one.... if I don't get any takers... I'm taking it down to my nearby verizon store so they can help someone else.

I was able to order 2 late last night. Existing cover has a scratch (different problem, but the phone also popped like a few other guys have experienced here). Anyway, when I do get the extra batt.cover I would be willing to send the extra one to whoever wants it, long as you pay the shipping. Just PM me.

And I will be happy to do the same thing. I will give mine up if thelion or someone else who didn't get a free door that would be willing to pay for the shipping, I will send it to you.

See, here is the problem I have with that. You got one that you don't need, right? That is one more battery door that could have gone out to someone that needed it. Without having to pay for the shipping.

Look, you don't see what a dickish move it is. Fine. But people that pull crap like this are the reason companies are so strict with replacement items and you usually have to go through tons of red tape to get them.

Why is the concept of only taking what you need so hard to understand? It is greed, pure and simple and because of that greed people that actually did need the replacement will now have to wait.

Easy there....ok, we understand you tried to get the doors yourself and weren't able to. If you need a door that bad, PM me and I'll send one to you when I get mine and I'll even sacrifice the shipping cost for you, if you promise to settle down on here.

Let me explain

So i have spent some time reading this thread this morning. To the people who didn't get what they needed. Contact Motorola they are shipping replacements also. To the people that got what they need. I am glad for ya!

The rest of this is just "fluff" and "air". Sitting in judgment isn't right and getting something for "free" just because you can isn't really right either. I have an extra door at home. Shipped by Motorola directly to me. I will keep it as I have 2 Droids in my house. I didn't order any more I don't need any more.

Having said that not everyone thinks the same. With out further "argument" or anything this thread is :closed_2:

I tried yesterday to get a replacement door from My Account on vzw.com. The battery door was not even an available option in accessories for me.
Went to Motorola.com and spoke with a rep live.... my replacement is on it's way.:icon_ banana:
Just an FYI if anyone runs into the same issue on Verizon's website.

I folded up an old receipt and stuck between the battery and the door and have not had a problem since.

I got an email from Verizon telling me my order was canceled. I was thinking like others had stated that it was a mistake to make them for free. Guess I won't be seeing any battery doors any time soon.
