free droid battery door !!!

Well that pisses me off, I just PAID for 2 of them on monday. I'll be taking them back to the vzw store where I bought them (they ordered for me so I could get my 25% vip discount, not available online). Only $8 but still, a few days after charging me they start giving them away free?

I'm one of the lucky folks who bought a Droid on opening-day, and has had zero troubles with the battery door. But kudos to Verizon for stepping up and solving the problem for free, for those who have had the problem.
 
With the full body glove the door isn't even an issue.. I only ordered them just because I could :-D Also, it feels kinda good to finally make Verizon pay for something.
 
lol i think its funny how people say its greedy an selfish by getting 3 and taking advantage of a great deal that verizon is offering everyone. verizon is not a mom an pop company so they'll be perfectly fine lol
 
You guys know that these aren't "free" in the sense that we're not paying for them. We're all paying for these "free" battery door replacements through the fees that Verizon charges us. Smart companies don't voluntarily take a hit, they adjust their fees to account for business costs.

That said, I ordered 3. If they give us the option of receiving 3, these probably aren't going to be the best quality. Allowing us to order 3 suggests that 1 won't suffice.
 
First of all who knows if these will get shipped at all and if you will get three.

Second of all with what Verizon charges we should be getting chocolates every month. And they should send someone to put them on our pillows at night.

I'm in shock they are willing to overnight anything free.

It's possible that they see a recall or a lawsuit pending because people are losing their doors and risking battery shorting/fire/explosion, and they are just trying to be proactive. Who knows - regadless I ordered mine.
 
I just did it. I ordered 3 but when the confirmation page came around it said 1. I double checked my order and I had 3.

Maybe somebody has gotten wise and changed this so that you can only order 1 at a time?
