One guy said "Ordering three just to screw verizon out of shipping...I don't even own a droid!" then another guy said "ordering them to see what I can get on ebay!"

People are greedy. Heck, people even on this board were ordering three when they didn't even need them. Now when someone ACTUALLY needs a free replacement they can't get one because everyone went nuts ordering something they didn't even need.

Didn't want to be a greedy douche so I only ordered two, just in case I somehow manage to lose two I will still have one. Hopefully I will finally be able to stop carrying around my business card inside my droid.

I don't honestly expect to lose any since I always have some sort of a case surrounding it.

I would have to get another phone to need another... I'll deal with that then as they will most likely all be upgraded by then.

Out of Stock: sucks for those with a Droid who could use a new battery door. If they charged some token amount, say a quarter, it would have prevented this silliness.

Motorola could keep track of who they give doors to based on thier ESN numbers or similar... but I guess they didn't think people would be trying to sell them.

I guess people going to ebay instead of motorolla are the ones creating the market and if motorolla released in the news a recall on thier doors that wouldn't happen..... but then the public would know there is a flaw and they don't like the negative attention.

I don't know how you could say it was originally posted a fatwallet. I started this post a 7:30pm. When you go to fatwallet that thread was started at 8:30. That's an hour later. I couldn't find it on slick deals.
