Honestly, I'm not surprised. I'm still wondering why people are trying so hard to make it so market can update their maps to the version they already have on their phone...

So, nobody's having trouble with recovery anymore? I'm running SteamRom 4.0.6.2, and have been apprehensive about installing this if I'd have problems getting back to my backup if things went screwy.

haha glad to know i'm not the only one that deleted maps using root explorer. I started sweating bullets when it wouldn't install from the market hahaha

well been playing with this since 9am / so far this is what I have/
Flash couldnt really care for some some reason my Mac was extracting the apk after unzipping the zip/ ported over to the windows side and fixes copied the apk and installed flash/ again I really dont use the web browser too much on this device so Flash doesnt really matter

Battery/ about the same at 40% after 9am (loading/ backing up/ reloading, etc) moderate use during the day hard to gauge on 1st day

Apps - pretty much all working / some of the folders dont show up after modding to 2.2 (icons etc) / Need to look at at figure out why thats happening...

I'm more curious about bluetooth dialing. Here in NJ, you simply cant use your cell without a headset. Technically initiating a call from the handset can get you a ticket (plus it's not safe). I'm waiting on an aliph icon (thinker) from eBay so we'll see...

I got a lot on my plate / also looking for some basic themes 'clean black' may do it for now, although I would like some blues and greens... anyone up for a Nex Theme?

I installed Launcher Pro from the market and it's flying and wonderful and everything, but here's what happens when I type in the google search widget -- 1st time, everything's fine and I search for whatever. After the first time, when I click in search, I can't see the letters I'm typing nor can I delete them, and it looks somehow mis-aligned. I tried removing the widget and adding it back, I uninstalled Launcher Pro and restarted it and that didn't work. It doesn't happen on the stock launcher or with ADW, so I'm using ADW for now, but I'm wondering it anyone else has had this happen or knows what the problem could be.

Can't reproduce. Iirc, there was a different google search widget on the default desktop. Delete it and readd it and it should be a different google search widget. Let me know if that helps.

No, it just proves that froyo on the droid is awesome.

I've seen like 5 posts in this thread about chrome-to-phone and everyone seems to have the same 'registering device' problems, including me. It's the first thing I tried when I got the ROM installed. Has anyone gotten this working or does no one really care about this feature?

i have the same problem, i dont use the widget, just hit the search key, its one less step and takes up less space, and takes u to the same spot
