Galaxy Note 2 waiting Lounge

It's easier to sell a phone when there's not pieces of gravel embedded into the side. Cases are $5-10 and you can buy tons of them if you wanted the new case look. I've also never had a case that made it hard to fit in my pocket. My friend however did drop it in a parking lot and thanks to the raised lip around the front, the screen and corners were completely protected.

Yeah I will always buy a case even if its nothing but a cheap tpu case. Bu they make some nice slim cases that still do the job. After seeing reports in razr and razr maxx screens cracking when dropped I will not risk it. Having that material to cushion the blow goes along way as well as protect against keys, grime, and other foreign material.

To each his own. What I find (personally) is that for the first month or two I take extremely good care of my phone, but after that it ends up sliding back and forth on a table, the accidental drop, etc., and I end up not really caring what happens to it.

I agree that keeping it in a case will help resale, but by the time your 2 year contract is up the phone isn't worth much, and the difference between being pristine and in fair shape honestly isn't that great. There are probably cases that are a lot less invasive, but the ones I generally see add a significant thickness to the phone, and overall make it more difficult to hold/use, especially if you put it in and out of a car dock.

i never had a case in my d2g as i hate the ridiculous snap cases that are required on the keyboard phones. it looked like crap after one year of use, the shiny bezel was mostly black the sides were ruined etc. My bionic and razr? Nice thin tpu cases. drop my bionic all the time and it still looks brand new, i don't worry about breaking the screen because the case cushions it. I've stopped it in a parking lot from chest height and it just bounced.

so yes to each his own, but I will always have a thin cover from now on.

Sent from my frozenly delicious razr maxx.

i even have a case on my mbp.
