Galaxy Note 2 waiting Lounge

I am sure the answer is no for a Sprint device - I picked one up earlier today and there is no place for a SIM card that I have seen...

Yeah a lot of Sprints new phones are coming with Sims built in which have made for a lot of unhappy customers.

What about an international one off ebay?

No international, tmobiles and AT&Ts all run off GSM. Verizon is CDMA so no if u want it on Verizon then u must purchase a Verizon one.

Just to be sure, what r u wanting to do?

Verizon is CDMA but their 4G phones also have a GSM sim card because when running on 4G it uses one of the GSM frequencies. In the US you would not be able to put a Verizon sim into a AT&T (for example) phone and have it work on Verizon because it also needs the CDMA here. You can put a foreign sim card into a Verizon Note 2 to try to use it overseas however the one piece of information I haven't sen yet is whether Verizon has unlocked the phone so that a foreign sim will be able to be recognized. They have done that with the Razrs which can definitely use a local sim out of the US so they may very well do it with the note but if that is what you are interested in you had better make sure before taking the plunge on the Note 2. Verizon is saying the Note 2 is a global phone which I believe means that you can use the Verizon Note abroad using the Verizon sim card (and paying absurdly premium prices for international roaming as compared to using a prepaid local sim card). Whether it can use someone else's sim abroad I don't yet know for certain. By the way, even if the phone is able to use a foreign sim when overseas it will only work in 3G when there.

Yes I know all that but he said he wanted a GSM model to work on Verizon which can't happen in the states. That's why I stated what I did cause it sounded like he wanted to use on on VZWs network.

So been making my rounds on xda forums. Seems like the sprint N2 has been doing really well with signal on its network with 4G and people have been still getting 6 to 7hrs on screen time, unbelievable.

I'm so tempted to make the jump to Sprint now... No Sprint 4g in my area though... damn you Verizon and your coverage.

I wonder how hard it will be to remove that ridiculous Verizon logo from the phone, or will we have to take it apart to do it.
