Looks like November 29th is the Verizon launch date. Makes sense with ship by date of November 27 on pre-orders.

verizons marketing strategy blows!!!

I was seriously hoping to get this before thankgiving since I'm heading out of state for the family thing. Now I won't have it to show off.

My wife an I are both way over due for upgrades and have been holding out for the note since it was first rumored. Not a happy camper and I know VZ could care less.

true that.. without that stuff it's basically an upgraded + bigger s3 (which is a beast of a phone)

note 2 is the only phablet... the rest 5"+ are big smartphones

Played with the note at a TMobile today. Thought the size was great; I'm 6'5", so it looks perfect on me. Felt so incredibly cheap. A nice case may solve this. The pen was the main thing I was interested in. Writes well and will probably work even better with a full wacom pen. Don't like that s-note pages are so small and you can't pan around to make it bigger with out going to a new page. Not sure how to get past that yet.

Went to Verizon to preorder. Have grandma on the family plan who can barely work the phone. I'm the only line with unlimited data. I used her upgrade, will activate the phone on her line, then activate it on mine and reactivate her old samsung gusto and cancel the new data plan on her line. That will give me a year early upgrade with a subsidized phone and unlimited data all for the same exact amount I'm paying now. :biggrin:

The reps were insistent that Nov 27th is a ship by date and thought it would be sooner, but of course there's no official document. I still haven't seen a document online saying that the 27th is the precise release date and no possible way of getting a phone before then. I believe preorders are treated differently as well and may be able to get it sooner if it's ready. Again, I can't say anything for sure. Fingers crossed...

It's hard to explain. I want my s-note page to be like the size of a sheet of paper that I can pan around and get more writing on a page. I don't know how to describe right now. Like OneNote if you've ever used it.

I am sure the answer is no for a Sprint device - I picked one up earlier today and there is no place for a SIM card that I have seen...
