I havent looked on mine, just download a 4G toggle app.
Use the Phone Info app from the Play Store.
After you've installed the app, open it up and select "Device information." Scroll down a little bit until you get to a box that says "Set preferred network type" (Global is selected by default, or LTE/CDMA/EvDo will be selected if you've put your phone into LTE/CDMA mode in the Mobile network settings). In the box, select "CDMA auto (PRL)." This will put your phone into 3G-only mode. If you want to switch back to 4G, select either Global or LTE/CDMA/EvDo. This is something you'll have to reset after any reboot of your phone.
Nope. If you pay full retail, it's not an official Verizon upgrade.

I picked on up at a VZW store yesterday and spent most of the day playing with it. This thing is SICK. I simply cannot believe how fast it is compared to my DroidX. I'm not even talking about 3G vs 4G. When both are on wifi the Note loads pages and/or executes apps what seems like 10 times faster or even more. The screen is amazing and I'm even fine with touchwiz after customizing it to my tastes. VZW did their very best to try to make it unattractive and remove features but even they couldn't kill my enthusiasm for this gem. It may take me forever to learn all of the features but I am literally shocked at how big of a step forward this is. All I can say is a huge BRAVO Samsung.
All but ready to return it.
I use my phone on vibrate all the time because of meetings and obviously if vibrate is not strong enough to get my attention the majority of the time then the phone isn't usable in that fashion. I know I cannot simply expect myself to remember to put the phone on silent every time someone important enters my office or even when I go to a meeting. I consider it unacceptable to have my phone go off in a meeting with a customer or someone in the management team.
There are some vibration patterns that seem more strident than the default, if not, I am likely to return the phone. Perhaps I can just keep in on silent and check it much more often, but that is less than appealing to me. Does anyone else have this issue?

I also come from a Droid X and I TOTALLY agree with you!!! It just flies!!
Try the app Light Flow. You can change the vibrate patterns and maybe there is something that will work for you.
