I compared signal strength with a razr m and they were within 2dbm of each other all the time.

Also, how is call quality? Background noise? Volume? Clarity?

I'm using foxfi with non issues... I've added ring tones from my mp4 using pro player which I've had all along.. Zedge notifications and sounds works as usual for tones...

All calls ive made have been great with similar quality to my old droid 2.
One thing ive noticed is that the external speaker is amazingly clear and loud when playing music

Day #2 and still blown away with this beast!! Still learning all the functions but I've got the basics down so far. WOW! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got the matching flip case Cover that replaces the OEM back cover and it's awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Testing out the battery life. Still @ around 50% after nearly a full day's use. Might get the extended battery later.

Awesome Spidergirl... I'm totally loving the phone... Call quality.. Speaker and music sounds great..
So far only nit pick things which I hope they have them resolved.. Multi Window needs to add Google apps... I'm on Nova launcher as I could not take voice prompts when in/out of folders (or launcher setting homescreens) on TW...

BK did you get the screen on issue figured out with SMS...or you just living with it

Just got mine today! Been setting it up for awhile now seeing what was missing lol. Noticed the wireless charging connectors aren't shown like in the sprint version. No dropbox 50 gb storage seems Verizon and at&t didn't do that one. Trying to see if anything else want brought up yet. Oh app store let's you install Google wallet was like cool maybe they allow it but then opened it up and got the message not supported on this device. No big news there.
Loving it so far just trying to remember all the videos I saw that showed the cool settings lol. Had to do some Google searches

Are you absolutely positive that vzw's WiFi tethering is not working at the same time as Foxfi? Or Foxfi going through vzw's tethering service? Did you sign up for vzw's tethering service?
I just want to be 100% sure before I let myself fall in love w/ this phone. Lol

In regards to Foxfi and tethering...if you try to activate the hot spot - it scans for service / subscription but if you install & use Foxfi, it connects straight away but does show thru the "hotspot" app - I don't think IMO that it is registering against VZW but I cannot say that at 100%...
Haha.. No worries... I understand completely.. When I first received the phone I tried the native tether and it ask me to call customer service... Now I have foxfi from when I tried the Maxx HD (I bought it I believe it was $7)..so using it without any issues so far... I don't tether long periods but the few times it's connected perfectly with my Mac Pro..

At the store, when I turned off the built in tethering, foxfi was still broadcasting, but there was no internet connection. I also like having the least amount of stuff running at one time too.

I ended up editing my custom notification so that it starts out super quiet...weird that this would be the case. I also don't like how using the volume rocker to change the volume only changes the phone ringer. (or maybe there's a way to change this that I haven't figured out.)
