Getting a new phone soon, having a hard time making a decision...please help

Ah, I see. Thanks for continuing to help me, by the way.

Good to know I can post something in this thread and you'll usually help the same day I ask something. :D

I guess for now I'll just leave those applications uninstalled and slowly begin installing them tomorrow to see if anything unusual happens. :/ hopefully it was just an application making it go haywire...

Yes, need for speed lite comes installed on our phones. Sucks because I don't like car driving games. I love gliding/boat racing games better (wave blazer and recently turbofly 3d ive gotten into).

That's usually the case, that the reason our phones lock up is a haywire app, or apps that when running conflict with each other.

I hope that's why. I would rather have an incompatible app than my phone being messed up itself. Eh, maybe in time, all/most apps will be straightened out.

Did you have any problems with your phone in the past, and the most recent software update (posted a page or two back by me) fixed it?

Haven't had any really serious issues yet. Most issues I've had I attributed to what I was trying to do to my phone, first time I rooted to installing a lot of apps.

delete unwanted voicemail

How can I delete unwanted Voicemails without responding to them?

I'm new to Smartphones, for the past 3 weeks or so. I see that one of the side "benefits" it that we get unsolicited Voicemail messages from unkown and anonymous sources, and some un-asked-for Voicemail invitations to be "friends". I'd like to just delete these without phoning Voicemail or phoning the source or otherwise replying, but I haven't found a way to do that. Sometimes turning off the phone, leaving it off for a while, and then turning it back on seemes to work - but of course usually the unwanted messages are still there when I turn the phone back on.

Clicking on the message and then clicking the Menu doesn't work because the choice to Delete is grayed out.

Voicemails or txt messages?

I personally set up a Verizon visual voicemail account and I can delete them using the visual voicemail app. 3 bucks a month ain't bad I guess.

Visual Voicemail or a ROM with a forced whitelist option.

Another option would be to change your number. Personally I haven't had that kind of issue and I've been rocking a Droid for six months now. Have you been signing into things and giving them your mobile number?

Just posting again to say that my phone rebooted itself again, same circumstance...wasn't doing anything. :/ worries me.

I got it on December 30, so yeah... :/

Think I should take it in and see what they say? I like the phone itself, just could do without the sporadic problems. It was going for a while with no issues...and now it just randomly rebooted.

the x is the way to go once u have it thats the big turn on ....everything else will seem small the screen is great speed is as good as any ,but like u said its up to u

Then they'll replace it with a new one out of the box. :)

Alright, thanks. I guess I'll go to Verizon tomorrow and tell them what has been happening...hopefully it goes smoothly. :/ In situations like this, I'm always worried the replacement will have some other problem... I just want a product that works perfectly and stays that way until either -I- break it (meaning, it's not messed up out of the box) or it's time to upgrade.
