Military people---or anyone with a .mil email address can get a google voice invite direct from google by signing up with your .mil e-mail addy. This doesn't have to be the account you use to access google, just to get the invite, then you sign on with your regular account.

Search for "Google Voice Military Invite". This will get you an invite in 24hours or less.

paid $6.99 and had it in 30 minutes. Quit being so cheap. If you can make the sms work out for you, you don't have to pay verizon $5-10-20 a month for text messages anymore.

The ability to text from your computer at work is pretty nice too!

Agreed. However, if someone wants to give me $1 million for one or both of my invites, that would be nice...

I've had Gmail, Chrome, and everything Google for years! Think they would send ME an invite? NAW! So, I bought one from eBaY. Wanna know how many invites came along for me to pass out? NONE. No one has more Google crap installed, uses Google browser, mail, now Wavew, etc, and couldn't get an invite he!! or high water. So, I but the ebay bullet, paid %4.95, and now I have it. Big Deal. Its not like I couldn't have lived without it.

But, whats done is done!
