I, on the other hand, absolutely love the transcription. Its funny as crap reading how Google translates your voicemails. 90% of the time you will get the gist of it, but it makes me LOL pretty much daily. I have a strange sense of humor, so maybe its just me.

Google Voice isn't all its cracked up to be. I used it for about a month. I got so sick of the horrible transcriptions that i got rid of it. A heads up if you do cancel GV, you have to go through a bunch of sh*t with Verizon to get your regular VM back. Take it or leave it but Fusion VVM and Youmail are probably better if you looking for just visual voicemail. If you really, truly, desperately need another number on you cell phone, then keep trying to get GV.
The transcription is horrible but I would rather open the program on my phone and listen to the message than to have to waste my time to call voice mail to do the same thing.
The transcription is a neat feature but people have to realize its a computer doing it and unless you speak VERY clearly and slower than normal speech with abosolutly no accent or slang its going to screw up aleast one word it not all of them.
And I would rather use a service from the makers of the OS of the phone and some random 3rd party company.
And besides, to go back to verizon voice mail, there is a setting in the droids menus to accomplish this.
How are you doing can someone send me an invite please? PM me or send it to my email rdgalterego@gmail.com Thanks a lot, really trying to get this service.
I didn't know a thing about GV until I got an invite yesterday from the "Google Voice Team" whoever that is. All set up now....pretty cool. They didn't give me any invites to send out.
