You should expect similar specs to the Desire HD. It'll be the newer processor clocked at 1GHz. All 1.2GHz will do is hurt your battery, so not necessary at the moment.

I beg the differ.. your opinion.. try running live wallpapers on a dx and tell me ur satisfied.. if u are then I don't even want to discuss anything with u lol

Some processor aren't well optimized for a higher clock speed and if this is like most Snapdragon processors, don't think it could handle it. It'll kill the battery and processor easily. Clock speed isn't everything though. It's the cycles, optimization, GPU, etc.

Guys check out the Desire HD quadrant scores with that newest 1Ghz Snapdragon processor. It is hitting 1900 to 2000. If this phone comes with that same processor that will be plenty fast enough. Faster than anything out there right now. The X is only getting 1500 at best with froyo. But of course if HTC wants to clock it to 1.2 I'd take it!!

my X runs LWP just fine @ 1ghz. Look we dont know enough to guess but this 1.2ghz and a 4.3 screen would be suhwheet...talk about battery killer though

I run my Original Droid at 1.2 GHZ with no profiles set and Digital Wall LWP Exclusively - Although I have a 2800mah Extended Battery - I have no concerns about making it through the day with heavy usage - I plan to buy an extended for any future device I own, so give me more GHZ please :happy:

Anyways, just look at the g2. It is at 800mhz, and is preforming better than most phones on the market. Imagine a better, faster version of tonight.

The G2 ran sick quadrant scores (i have that picture still) when I got my time with it before release. I was surprised for how well it ran bone stk. As nice as it was that was right after the desire HD (maybe 5 minutes later) and the deisre HD ran even better...

Will this have the second generation snapdragon processors?

No way it would come with anything less than the desire hd.. hoping for something a little more tho..

And live wallpapers work fine with my 1.2 ghz droid but not snappy like it is without.. even on the droid x its hesitent and not the same as if u didn't run them.. I want live wallpapers to look and feel the same as the phone when its not running them.. just isn't the same

I stole my moms upgrade for my Droid back on November 7th and my line has been eligible since June '09. Almost ready to crack and get the x. I wanted it from day one but wanted to see what else would come out. If I had the money and time I would even own the Droid 2, Dinc and the X on top of my Droid.

Trying out Sprint for a month. Sent from my Evo using Tapatalk. 4G is pointless when you don't live in one of the few available network areas.
