soo happy i didnt get the DX...i just hope this phone is LTE, i promised myself that i will not get a new phone unless its LTE....PLEASE let this beauty be LTE.....

ps....LTE LTE LTE

Good because it looks like the HDMI port was the reason for the capped graphics on the evo. I would rather not have it than deal with that headache but theirs always the possibility this supports HDMI out via micro USB

There is zero chance of HDMI output via usb. The whole HDMI out and DLNA thing is still in it's infancy.

If it's LTE that could be my next phone.

Haven't seen anyone comment - the kickstand is a fantastic idea! Hopefully it has a couple of adjustable settings...perfect for watching some tv shows or a movie.

This phone looks AWESOME and i will probably be getting it for sure once it hits the market. I love HTC phones (Yes, more than Motorola) and this seems to be one hell of a phone. I love my Incredible so i cant even imagine how much i would love an HTC phone with a 4.3" screen and a front facing camera with a processor running higher than 1GHZ. HTC Sense will FLY on this thing.

Before I get hyped I need specs. If it is what they say it is with a bigger processor then I may push all the chips to the center of the table. Right now I am checking to see what is real and was is rumor.

Its not an LTE phone. Verizon's first LTE phone isn't coming until at least Q1 2011.

I have an upgrade in December and am saving it for an LTE phone.

So will it come out, they will sell out by noon, and then have back orders for months due to supply issues?

my droid 1 headphone jack issues has gotten worse. I may deal with it an wait for this beast to burn an early upgrade on.

being that we have pics, hopefully some one verify its android, and release specs.

Some people are saying its a Winmo 7 phone but others say it's an android phone because of the four haptic buttons.

here is the windows version

HTC may be capable of making heroic smartphones, but it certainly can't contain leaks of its unannounced devices.
The HTC T8788 looks set to join the brotherhood of Windows Phone 7 handsets due for a "holiday release." Engadget has apparently unearthed information on a touch-screen HTC slider destined for AT&T shelves in the U.S. But what's different is that instead of a QWERTY keyboard, the phone slides open to reveal a built-in speaker. There's also a kickstand around back, which will help make the T8788 more convincing as a portable media player.
That's about all the information there is for now, although there's a good chance it could make an October launch if speculation on the Web is to be believed. In the meantime, Microsoft will be releasing its Windows Phone developer tools on September 16, so developers have some time to code their apps and games in time for the official launch.
