I hope this won't be released too late in this year, does anybody know or have idea when it'll be released? my upgrade is soon and this looks really nice, but I don't want to wait till december.
The reason I hope it isn't released too soon is that it increases the chance that it'll have Gingerbread on it. Also, I know there are those that say this won't be LTE but we have no release date for this device. It could very well be Q1 '11. Does anyone know where the LTE radio in MetroPCS' feature phone is coming from?
Ok I just checked the Verizon roadmap again and this isn't even on it. This phone is definitely not coming till at least winter but if comes after January 2011 then it'll probably be an Lte phone.
Its gonna be a long wait for those who are waiting.
Despite being very happy with my DroidX, I want this phone. Though I don't need much more than what my DX is offering me right now, the techie in me wants the latest and greatest. You never know, if the demand for the DX stays strong, maybe I'll ebay it and but this one. Or, I'll just keep my DX since money is tight for most everyone and I don't need to upgrade, I just want to =P.
They will have a few LTE devices this year. One of them is the Samsung tablet. They will not have any LTE phones until 2011. This phone might not even be coming till Q2 2011.
Actually if you look good at that ad it's actually 16Hz. dancedroid
I am looking for a Dual Core with 4.3" LED, 8-16GB on board with MicroSD, Physical Keyboard, 4G, 8-10MP Camera, HD Recording & Front-Facing Camera. Am I asking for too much?

I don't think so, but it's starting to look like there is a bit of a game going on with adding one feature but not another, or adding two features and dropping one. Undoubtedly all in the name of getting tech hungry consumers to upgrade every year or every 6 months.
I'm going to write-off stuff like front facing camera and HDMI out as nice to have but not something I'd really use. A better camera would be nice, even HD recording.
Now, an HDMI out that I can hook into a 21" monitor for surfing is a neat idea, but I thought the current HDMI out was only for pics and recorded video?
I feel like they could come out with all of this in a superphone, but then you don't have any real reason to upgrade for a long, long time. And that's probably why we won't see a phone with EVERYTHING we want for a good while.

I haven't looked at the roadmap in a while, but i remember the samsung fascinate wasn't on it. there are many phones that were not mentioned on that so-called roadmap.
I also heard that if you see a phone leaked, it will be out in ~3-4 months. not sure how accurate this is though, and i'm too lazy to research this.
I thought we'd see an LTE phone late this year, but stand corrected. I did see where VZW's CEO promised 5 LTE handsets by May 2011....I'm thinking it will be earlier than that, maybe March when we see the first?
