Is today the day we find out? Who knows. I am assuming that we will be waiting until tonight or tomorrow as I'm sure Miami has a regular job to get up and go to. Really disappointed we didn't get anything last night....I was really hoping for a few pictures.

I've been lurking for the past few days because I'm interested in this phone, but I had to register to ask why you seem to feel anyone on this board owes you anything.

Really, it's beyond amazing! If I were Miami, I'd be inclined to PM the info to anyone following this thread that hasn't whined like my 3yr old before posting it for public consumption. Really!

I've been lurking for the past few days because I'm interested in this phone, but I had to register to ask why you seem to feel anyone on this board owes you anything.

Really, it's beyond amazing! If I were Miami, I'd be inclined to PM the info to anyone following this thread that hasn't whined like my 3yr old before posting it for public consumption. Really!

Are you serious? First off if you read my post I acknowledge that Miami probably has a day job - and by doing that acknowledged the fact that he has other responsibilities besides feeding us information. Secondly - as was stated yesterday he has family priorities as well. That being said and in light of the fact that he has a life...I am not going to hold my breath in waiting. This is in no way a negative reflection of Miami...but simply a reflection that I am really excited to get some information and because I am excited was disappointed we didn't get anything last night (as I'm sure many people were).

Miami doesn't owe us anything...I have never said he did. But just because I said I was disappointed made you think you have the right to call me out and accuse me of something I didn't say or do - and honestly probably said what many people were thinking? Give me a break.

Back to waiting for some exciting news...when Miami has time to post it.

But you keep freaking posting....nothing. It's the equivalent of drumming your fingers on the lunch counter, or creeping forward at a traffic light. Ya kinda get the idea? It's kinda like a little kid (most of us have an internal one) asking "are we there yet?" every ten minutes. Anyone who's looking at this thread likely finds the info interesting but there are a couple folks who are really posting nothing but impatience. It's like the kid who is bored and has to say it outloud every third breath.

I know that this is likely to hurt some feelings, and I'm sorry for that, but if I could kindly request that we all try to cut down on the nonsensical posts, it may make the wait a little less "present" and a little more "background".

I would wait until summer, or until HTC or samsung released something comparable. There is a lot of pent up demand for this phone. A lot of people didnt quite go for the DX because it "just isnt an EVO". The EVO is admitedly the same screen size as the DX, but the ratio is perfect. Many find the DX's screen to be too tall and thin, while the EVO's is perfectly shaped for texting, browsing, and finger placement in general. Whenever the details are shared there will be alot of people jumping on this phone that passed on the dinc and the DX.

Thusly, if it is cancelled(and it wont be) most will just keep on waiting, and cave for something else in a year or so, or just get the DX so they can have a nice phone.

There will always be "something better" coming soon. If you take this "rumer" for example, many here (in this thread) will probably forget all about the IHD once the Nexus 2 is announced.

Well my contract with Verizon is up in 23 days...so if this is cancelled and I have to wait until something else comes along...I would probably wait to see how much Verizon charges for LTE and by that time - Sprint will be ready to launch the second generation EVO 4G. So - I would probably decide between those two options.

But, I really would rather hold out on LTE/4G for another year with a slick new HTC Incredible HD on Verizon with their unlimited data plan.

A nexus two on verizon would be very cool. But remember what happened the last time? Nexus one on verizon ended up being the Droid incredible, and the nexus one remained a stricly GSM device with att/tmo. Google has already firmly stated that there wont be a second nexus phone because it accomplished it's purpose of spawing very successful copies for each respective network, and prettty much getting the OHA motivated to producing devices.

Seeing that, i'm willing to make the gamble that November 8 with actually be the announcement of the phone we are all waiting on right now... with a lauch date announcement of Thanksgiving week!!

I mean, it's just too much of a coincidince to be anything else! Except the merge, but they know that isnt going to garner near the attention that this phone is so...

Couldnt have said it better myself... there is nothing anyone can do about the wait... i wish this thread would be Information and discussion only... not whining and complaining about how everyone wants it so bad omg i want it .. miami where are the pics... omg i want it.. I had posed that question about what else to get "if" this phone is delayed or canceled. Right now I am without a Android phone, just my basic flip which for some of the masses is ok, but for a busy person who needs, contacts, calendar, email, web etc all integrated its tough waiting. I tried both the Fascinate (no 2.2 release date, lag issues for some, GPS doesn't work) and the DX (Moto locked it down, camera is ok) both have pro's and con's. So I will need to make a decision and I can wait the few weeks to get this elusive phone but beyond that I unfortunately cannot wait until spring/summer 2011. Of course I could use my wifes early upgrade (no can't do that).

So what is considered to be a more suitable, rootable, customizable Android CDMA Phone for Verizon?
