Long press on the homescreen/widgets/news and weatherReceived ota today. All seems ok, but can't find or didn't get the "News and Weather Widget" Not a problem since so many apps exist for those items, but would like to know if I got it or not. How do I find out?
ok so i heard 2.1 was supposed to be able to have more home screens, like 5 like the droid eris has.
also i heard i could watch fl;ash movies like news on the internet, but i still cant
can anyone tell me how to do this? thanks
Hello kiddos!
Ok here's the deal, got my 2.1 update this morning and here are a few problems I'm having... (I'm not rooted, FYI)
1) Can't use home++ AND live wallpaper. (totally ok with that, and it's absolutely understandable. Just making it known.)
2) When my phone is "asleep" I don't get any LED notifications for new texts/emails. (or when it's on for that matter, but I read through all 38 pages here and saw a few posts that already mentioned that specific problem, but not when its "asleep".) Any solution?
3) When I use live wallpapers it slows my phone down, definitely enough to notice a HUGE difference. I'm assuming the best option here is to NOT use live wallpaper, right? *shrug*
4) Scrolling seems to be choppy sometimes. Before the update I could "fling" the screen and it would be lightning fast, now...it's like a 90 yr old woman walking with a cane in a snowstorm. Any suggestions?
Any help is greatly appreciated!! TIA!![]()

2. Try a soft factory reset of the Droid, settings/privacy/factory reset.
3. Only certain live wallpaper does this. Tru using water, I have no issues at all.
4. I have the exact opposite experience. Instructions for #2 should fix that or it's the live wallpaper you are using.
how do you get the launcher2.apk/nexus one launcher to work with the ota update, or is this not possible? is there a work around for this, the current launcher2.apk just force closes.
Thanks

Thanks! Just reset, it fixed the notification LED. Haven't tested out the live wallpapers just yet, but everything seems pretty speedy.
