Having An Issue With 2.1 - Come In Here

My Swype does not work anymore. I tried to disable it, then reenable it, but still no worky.

I thought there was a recent update to Swype. Or maybe that was Skype. roflol....anyone else having problems with Swype?

just updated this morning and no issue with Swype at all...

Just saw this thread, posted earlier in the tech/issues forum:


I was prompted for, and installed the 2.1 update yesterday. Since then I have been unable to send pictures via text/mms messages, either by way of handcent, or the default messaging client. I have since tried a *228 option 1, but that did not seem to solve the problem. Anyone else experiencing this or have any idea on what to do with it?

No apparent pinch and zoom in the browser. My phone was saying my galley wasn't loading on the desktop but once I trashed the icon and replaced it, it worked fine.

Hmmmm..You should have pinch and zoom on the browser. Try a battery pull for 30 seconds and try it again.

Yep, lets try that for a full 30 seconds. See if that doesn't work.

Pinch to zoom doesn't work on Google search site or other mobile sites.

Problem

I received the 2.1 OTA last night. It downloaded correctly and then i pressed install but it ended up just bringing me right back to the home screen with all the widgets. Nothing happened, it still says im on 2.0.1 and im "currently up to date". I have no clue what im supposed to do. I called verizon directly and they told me I still have to wait for another part of the update to be sent to me. Did this happen to anyone else?

:welcome: to the Droid Forum. Some people have had an issue every now and then with the update. If you didn't get it, don't worry it will come around again. And if you like you can update yourself, we have links in the general forum that explain how to do that.

just updated this morning and no issue with Swype at all...

Some of us had to re-install the swype beta. you can go to www.swype.com, go to the myswype tab, log in and send yourself the swype beta e-mail again. re-install and it will work just fine.... mine did

2.1 problems on Droid with home and search buttons

Anyone else having issues with their home and search touch sensitive buttons at the bottom of the Droid with the 2.1 update? Whenever im on a website or in messaging or anything, when I hit the home button it does nothing. I have to hit the back button a bunch of times to get back to my home screen; and the search button doesnt work either. Anyone having these problems too?

Can someone tell me what the three options were when you had the popup? I was asleep and just pressed the one on the right... And my firmware says 2.1 update1. Does that indicate more updates?

After updating my version also says 2.1-update1. Does everyone have this same version. Could it say this because there was an update.zip in the root folder when we started the update?

On a side note: I thought the alarm clock was changing?

Received ota today. All seems ok, but can't find or didn't get the "News and Weather Widget" Not a problem since so many apps exist for those items, but would like to know if I got it or not. How do I find out?

It's suppose to say that. It's like that on everybody's Droid. Nothing to worry about.
