Having An Issue With 2.1 - Come In Here

cant unlock my phone if someone calles it unlocks normaly if i just unlock it but if someone calls and i go to answer it it wont do anything wont unlock or ignore or anythng even tried hitting the button at the top to put it to sleep then hitting it again to waik up and still cant unlock it till it stops ringing any ideas??

Interesting...I had problems with this under 2.0.1 as well. It did not happen all the time...just at random.

my question is... 2.1 has the news and weather widget but mine is not updating when i use My Location

is this happening to anybody else?

I don't use my location...just use custom location and input where you are.

It works perfectly

If you travel around a lot to different states and counties that could be an issue if you like to have it always update to your current location though.

yes i travel. do you know of anything else that works updating itself by location? beautiful widgets maybe?

Mine's updating fine. I went to the next town over for Easter and it reflected my location correctly.

mine has been doing it for all day today and most of yesterday i havent downloaded any new aps or anything so im thinking its not that i did get 3 updates yesterday where google maps and something else i dont remember lol but that was after it was already doing it. so i have no idea but it sucks i know that much lol

2.1 Eye candy and no real substance

After all the things they added / changed that are strictly eye candy (yes, the live wallpaper and new gallery are certainly "kewl" . . . so what?) You still can't open a website from contacts. This strikes me as one of those things that should be pretty near the top of the list that needs fixed. Well before we make purty picture viewers and animated wallpaper for stoners.

Has anyone noticed a difference on the call clarity of the Droid with the (Official) 2.1 firmware update, now that it's out? I've read a few posts that some are not noticing a difference and are still getting muffled sounds, giving muffled voice and sometimes hearing popping/crackling like they did under 2.0.1. Anyone notice an improvement?

No improvement with the update. I am getting my fifth replacement Droid in the next day or so. The four previous have had significant call quality issues, including muffling and echoes. I'm hoping this time is a charm!

Okay I have used the search mode and could not find the answer to my question so if this is a duplicate, I am terribly sorry.

My mother got the 2.1 OTA update this morning and all of her downloads (purchased and free) have disappeared. We tried to sign into google and her account is now gone as well but her account id is still there.

I figured at this point all her "free" stuff she will have to re-download. But we have been trying to use the "cant remember password" function in google and it says there is no account. Now I set the account up and wrote everything down for her so I find this mystifing.

Has this happened to anyone that received the OTA update???? Yes we tried the batter pull as well and still nothing. All her icons, widgets everything gone.

Any suggestions would be great.

Have you already tried a factory reset? I had an issue with my googe services no longer syncing on the phone after a manual update. I did a factory reset and that seemed to take care of it.

anyone know how to get yahoo working? isn't it suppose to work? i cant even get signed in....i hit the general email icon thing and type in my stuff and it says connecting to serve then it says invalid username or password i keep trying and it does the same thing over and over and i know i'm typing it in right, i have to go to my browser to see my yahoo anyone know what the heck the problem is?.....oh and where can i find a list or something of all the stuff that was included on the update? whats the biggest changes?

I got the OTA update message this morning. I clicked accept and the phone instantly shutdown and rebooted. The reboot didn't make it very far, it just stays on the Moto symbol. I was using the Pandora app when the update message came. I am also using the beautiful widget and the helix home replacement. I have never rooted the phone. I have only installed a few apps.

Any ideas what happened? If i wait, will I get another OTA update message? I don't want to do a manual update.

I think im noticing the issue with my green led light as well. Whenever i recieve notifications like email or texts it doesnt blink!! I realize far worse could happen to the phone but its concerning nontheless. Maybe i shouldve just waited the extra few weeks to recieve the update normally but i guess that doesnt matter now. Quite frankly i feel pathetic on how engaged i am with this stuff when there is more important stuff in life but thats off topic. Lol

I had the same password issue with yahoo mail. I powered off the phone then on, my yahoo mail works. I was using yahoo mail via the browser.

I'm having an issue with pinch and zoom and the text being rearranged. Prior to the update using the Dolphin browser when I would zoom the text would rearrange so it was all visible on one screen.

Now after the update that no longer happens.

If I use the stock browser and tap to zoom the text gets rearranged but not if I pinch and zoom.

I'm running Dolphin browser version 42 according to the droids app manager but I think it's version 2.5
