Helix Launcher now available on Android Market

Alright, call me an idiot, but I installed Helix and I "cleared the data" from the default home app. When I switch to helix, I can see the difference in the screen, but I cant seem to find the "extra" screens everyone is talking about. ...I'm just lost....any help is greatly appreicated. I want to figure out how to use this thing.
Press Menu and click Configure if you want to change the number of screens, auto rotate, etc.

Idiot. ;-) :-P

Nice Touch

I really like how HELIX handles CONTACTS when added to the screen by adding a shortcut. VERY NICE TOUCH! Check it out...

Helixlauncher2 for Nexus only?

I have the Droid 2.1. In the Market, HelixLauncher2 says it is beta for nexus only. Anyone with Droid 2.1 using this? or should I install the other version HelixLauncher?

Right. DO NOT install Helix Launcher 2 from the Market on the Droid. It'll just force close.

Is Helix more stable now than it was prior to 2.1? I only ask because I had it before and loved it, but the force closes were enough for me to not reinstall it after rooting and unrooting my phone prior to the 2.1 update.

it seems pretty stable, im using a launcher 2 with cyangenmod.
if helix had the 3d app tray id definately us it instead.
helix 2 force closes like a *****.

FYI, if you go the Devs Donate Page (Link is in market App details) you can download the older Helix2 version 6?... it is smoking cool... and even works on a stock 2.1. Has 3D App, FAST screen swipes, selectable NAV DOTS, or Bottom Dock, Landscape Rotation (even without opening KB) and much more.

Been using it all day for over a week and never had a single FC on my Stock Droid!

Only slight negatives I the 3D app drawer initial opening is just a little slower than some I have seen (app scroll is on par with others).... and the "home" icon in the app drawer in landscape(ONLY) is slightly missplaced about 1/4" (you tap a blank area where is should be to close drawer.).

Other that those 2 small issues it is the fastest most stable and most featured pack Launcher I have seen on a stock 2.1 Droid! I swear the screen to screen swipes are faster than stock.. and speed with the Dot Nav is amazing!!

Best of all it's free, but please donate to the dev if you like it!!

Also the later H2 "7" beta doesn't like my stock Droid, The App Drawer button is all the way to the right on top of the Nav dots or apps in the lower dock.....

Yes, and it is "overlayed" (on top of) of the Right side Nav Dots (if you have that option selected).. but ONLY in "7", "6" is perfect in that respect.

Make more sense now?

Actually... no, but it's probably my fault, I've had a long day/week.

Well I have the 7.2 version, and it's running pretty good. FC's maybe once every other day if that, but I'm really widget intensive / memory nazi too.

I haven't finished setting it up completely, so don't mind I haven't themed the gestures icon... ;-)

Nice screen!!

Please go to your configure setting and UNcheck "Quick Shortcuts"...then try to use the right side Nav Dots. A screen cap of that would be great if you can!

I would do a screen cap for you but I just got all 7 of my screens the way I want, and if I get the later version..I will have to uninstall to go back to 6, Then I will have to do it all over again...:-(

If you can confirm the App Grid is back in the center and the L/R Nav Dots work.. I am all over upgrading..

BTW, does your app drawer in landscape mode still have the "Home" icon offset to the left?

Wil do screen cap of that so it is clear what I mean.

Thanks for the help!

how come your shortcut icons on the bottom, they look like they are sitting on a 3d rectangle. It looks really good. What is this?
