Helix Launcher now available on Android Market

Cool launcher, but I like being able to swipe to close the app drawer.

Where is everyone getting that picture of the ladies in the Droid shirts?

Can anyone help me where can I find a pc downloadable apk fiie for helix launcher2 version 1.2?or it can be only installed from market???

After using 1.2a for a few days, it seems to be noticeably slower than Home++ (newest version) with the same number of screens / widgets. I'd imagine part of that is due to Helix being so new, and thus not having all of the kinks worked out, but it's a big enough disparity for me to leave Home++ on the phone for now.

If Helix can pick up the speed and maybe integrate a pull down handle on the app drawer, it will be officially perfect.

Downloaded from market (unrooted, 2.01), just searched for helix. Works fine but to be honest just not a big change from home++ either way, fast or slow. A couple down sides though. Best I can tell when the home softkey is hit it doesn't take you to one particular home screen, might be my set up but I couldn't find a setting. Also, don't like the drop down not being able to be reset. Not nearly as configurable as home++.

Think I will stick with home++ for while as I don't like change for the sake of change with no real benefits.

Last night I pressed something that brought up a thumbnail of all my screens. I don't know what I pressed and I can't duplicate it. How is that done? I'm using Helix on 2.0.1.

There is obviously something else causing your phone to lag, because Helix blows Home++ out of the water, and I was a devout Home++ user. Helix hasnt FCd on me once, never lags and looks much cooler than Home++ (at least I think)

Not sure what is going on with the people saying Home++ is faster or more stable. Home++ (even the new version) has been slow, force closes, sometimes reboots my phone, and has a screwy app drawer sometimes.

Helix has been fast, hasn't FC'd once, even when I was screwing with it to figure out how to theme it, always has all my apps in the drawer, etc. It is VERY stable.

I loved Home++ when it first came out but it seems to have become unstable and bloated unfortunately. Helix is not. It is simple and fast. Love it.

Plus, on Helix you can put any apps you want on the bottom and use any icons you want. With Home++ you can only use what they give you and can't change the icons without Metamorph or some other modification.
