Holy Finishing Touches Batman, it's Sapphire 1.0

So p3's specific kernels only ones that work on sapphire?

Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

I think and I could be wrong but cvpcs and team made their own kernels for sapphire and they are located on their site. I think they are based off p3 and bekit but they are the specific kernels for this rom.

Think you're right...those are the ones I was talking about.

I like 1.0.0 so far, but one irritating issue I've run into is Gmail not updating the unread count. Even if I read all new emails, it doesn't update (still shows "(5)" next to the email account name). It only updates once I go into gmail via web browser and re-read all new emails. Is anyone else having this problem?

Coming from BB0.4, the customization of Sapphire is fantastic. Nice work!

I get the same thing... but never attributed it to the rom until I read this.

It's not the Rom. Got ot menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all>Gmail>clear data, then just wait till you gmail resyncs

That did the trick, thank you! I never had problems with gmail before, so maybe there's something goofy with the gapps package that's causing this in some cases. Either way a data clearance seems to fix it.

Looking for a kind hearted graphics guy that would be willing to take this Sapphire png and make it transparent so I can use it as the launcher button for Launcher Pro.

I messed around with Paint.net for awhile trying to figure this out on my own, but graphics and an artistic nature are not my strong points.

Thank you,

Here you go.

Thanks dmartins for the Sapphire icon you attached in previous post. I am using as app drawer custom icon in Launcher pro as well :)

I've been getting a force close when trying to get into GEM settings so I can actually see the text on the droid x buttons, notifications etc.

I wipped cache 3 times after the fact, but no difference. I hate to have to wipe data again as I came from BB.4 so did not expect to have to do that.

Yes you have to wipe both data and cache before Sapphire 1.0.0 install.

What does Spare Parts/Battery History say where you're using the most power?

100% wifi, or nearly. I do use a program to keep wifi connected even when the phone sleeps so as not to use 3G bandwidth. With BB, I did not get the drain I get with Sapphire with the same setting.

dmartins,

Thank you very much! I appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Mike

Has anyone come from Jrummys Kangorade to Saphire? What are your thoughts if so?

I ran his new rom, LithiumMOD. I enjoyed it, and I enjoy Sapphire. I switch back and forth a lot between the two. As for differences, don't really notice any. Battery seems the same, along with performance, etc.

Created a new gif.
I resized it for my signature.
Here is both for downloading.
For the sig click on the second image and right click Save Image as for the gif.
