Does anyone know what the developer(s) is using to test this (i.e. ROM version). I want to know if he's already running 2.1 or still on 2.0. I'm at the point were if the upcoming update is going to break this I'd rather stop wasting my time with it. If the update isn't going to effect it than I'll probably keep it.

I'm going to post this elsewhere but until I figure out where, does anyone know if there is something similar to what WM phone users have with MyMobiler? Basically it's a program that lets you see and control your phone from your PC. Would be GREAT and sure would make editing these themes easier.

No no images on this theme.
It crashes every few minutes and then when it powers back on it fc's again.
I tried to backup the theme to my SD card but it says there an error and cant.
What could that be???

Sounds like a conflict somewhere. Can you attempt the SD save, and if it fails and gives you an error message then back out of edit mode, and hit Menu, Report Bug.
What theme is it? I can try it out to see if it's the theme or your phone.
ok maybe i'm just slow and everyone knows this but OMG OMG OMG!!! i just discovered you can get a theme and copy certain pages/aspects of it then go back to yur own theme and paste merge that page/aspect into yurs!! i now have a "mutt" theme and i luv it!! it's like the best of everyone's all crammed into one lol

Wow, just wow. So much customizing to do. Spent like 3 hrs playing with this last night.
Uploaded mine under SmartandSimpleDroid. I've got the main screen with 4 springboards on it, and the left with 7 all done. Working on filling the rest, will keep updating online version.
Few things I've noticed:
-If you try to scroll up or down on one of the left/right screens, strange things happen. I have to hit BACK to get out of the blank screen.
-Texs from last night and FML widget (basically RSS feeds, from same dev) are not working, even after configure.
One question:
-How do you replace your springboard image with an icon?
Things I love:
- Fully customizable
- Not being stuck to grids (can put icons anywhere)
- Being able to change the setup for portrait and landscape
- Online theme repository
- Sheer magnitude of possibilities

Make the springboard completely transparent (take the alpha slider all the way to the left). The put the picture you want underneath it. Make sure the springboard is on a higher level than the picture.

@ice: thanks... I quickly realized this is what people were doing. Looks like I'm gonna have to get photoshop installed on my server.
I was mainly using the layers to organize the springboard screens (ie: widgets I put on each screen were all on one layer, and I incremented the layer +1 on each screen to make organizing them simpler), but now I can see how they can be used to really put some depth into things. I'm gonna get my simple theme running good on both portrait and landscape, then start really messing around with some advanced features with images and layering.

Tried it and dislike it. Home++ is what I will continue to use until 2.1 and hopefully there will be an improvment there. Only if I could hide the taskbar and have that little power widget on the bottom without having to use a Home replacement app all together.
Unfortunately i think it's a known bug and is being worked on for the next update. Sometimes it goes away if you stop SH and restart it up again. Otherwise I sometimes end up having to remove all the icons and re-add them again.
