Sorry, not to sure about the bluetooth question. I know mine doesn't speak the name it just says the number but I know different models speak the names.

Cant download Crutch HELP!

I have tried to download crutch and found links but it will not download to my droid and it is no longer listed in market place is there another app that does the same thing?...or a link that works?

Awesome. It works. Ended up buying the SNES full version too lol.

Quick question if anyone did download it. Has anyone tried downloading Super Mario RPG-Legend of the Seven Stars? It doesn't seem to work from coolrom.com or freeroms.com.

Thanks.

Do these games download on your SD card or your onboard memory? It would be great if they go on your SD card.

Also, does anybody know how to use applications you no longer use?

Thank you btw, tried out megamen 2. Really cool!

everything gets saved to the SD card except programs that you install from the martket.

to uninstall an app: home - menu - settings - applications - manage applications - click on the app you want to uninstall and then hit uninstall.

I got the roms to download fine, extract and everything, but what seems to happen is that I get to watch a demo of the game. No key strokes not even the dpad, seem to do anything, other than maybe restart the demo. I can't figure out how to start the game much less play it. I downloaded Lemmings, Paperboy, Missle Defense 3d and Transbot to a Moto Droid. Also Missle Defense seems very jerky, all the others I downloaded seem stable, just not playable. Any one have any suggestions for me? Thanks.

That happened to me too. I finally figured it out. You have to hit enter first then you can play it. Else you'll be watching demo all the time :). Also you might want to set the keys for what you want to do. You need to go to the menu key to do that. Hope that helps.

So, first, thank you for this thread, its the reason I signed up for the forum!

I followed your instructions but I am running into a few issues, I was hoping someone can help.

Problems:

1) The website for hosting roms that you listed, when I try to download the rom via the Dolphin browser, instead of a download initiating...I get a page of garbage. It appears Dolphin is trying to render the ROM file as HTML and of course that is impossible. I DO have download crutch and Astro.

2) As a workaround, I have been trying to find roms on other sites. I did find ONE rom out of 20 downloads that actually worked, that was the Street Fighter Alpha 2 rom that I got from coolroms.com

So...what I'm really looking for here is a source of roms that we KNOW work on the SNESOID emulator for the droid.

I am specifically looking for:

1) Any and all Final Fantasy titles. I think RPG's are great for mobile because they do not demand high input dexterity (such as street fighter).

2) Any and all Street Fighter titles.

If anyone has Final Fantasy SNES roms that work with snesoid...I would GREATLY appreciate it!!!!

Many thanks.

EDIT: To hopefully help others, I did confirm just now that the Final Fantasy 2 rom located here, DOES work....but still, if you guys have other roms that we know work on snesoid, it would be awesome to build up a list and maybe even get it as a sticky thread here in the games section....might save others a lot of time:

Final Fantasy 2 Snesoid rom on this page works on droid:
SNES Roms USA | The Old Computer | Super Nintendo SNES Roms Free Download

Update: Also confirmed the following from the same source/page:

Yoshi's Island
Final Fantasy3
R-Type 3
Secret of Mana

Starfox runs but it runs very poorly and I wouldn't recommend even bothering.

i'm having a similiar issue where I try to download games from freeroms but i get a page full of gibberish and nothing downloads. was there a fix for this?

I followed the directions and when i went back to the snesoid emu and hit open I clicked on mario bros and the screen started to just kind of flash colors at me, red a few times and then green....not sure what to do from here.

Btw, it's ridiculous how easy this was (to get the games and so on)...it's such a joke I think my 12 year old brother could have done it.

A big thank you to the person who opened the topic.

is there a point to getting the snesoid lite version if you can't save? does this happen with the other emulators too?

also, does someone have a link/barcode for the gba bios.bin file?

i think you can game save in the lite versions. so if teh game allows you to save (like zelda), you can do that. i've become so used to saved states, i couldn't live without it.
