HTC Droid Incredible Retires? Incredible HD Taking Over?

So I am going to wake up tomorrow and go online to Verizon to find out we were all wrong and that Miami was forced to do that by Verizon.....right? ......right? ............RIGHT?????

i'm going to do the same thing because i dont want to believe that this phone isn't coming out this month. i know i'm going to be disappointed when i do check verizon.com

As much as I want to believe that this is a possibility, I think I'm starting to enter that "acceptance" phase. Guess we're gonna have to wait just a little longer, or jump ship to the X

i think miami was telling us the truth when he said no pre-orders for the phone tomorrow.

he didn't exactly say that the phone wasn't going to be released this month... him saying "the merge got pushed back too" doesn't imply anything for the incredible hd... it's just an addition to what he was typing.

the phone was supposed to be a silent release and there has been nothing silent about it since threads opened going into detail on the phone. therefore we could still see the phone this month... or not. i have no idea.

until i hear miami say the phone will not be out this year i'm going to stay hopeful... i do want to get rid of my eris but not badly enough to get a phone made by motorola... i shall wait for the next htc phone

Yeah I can't really make sense of it either. This LTE thing they seem to be heavily focused on, so they may have just scrapped the 3G version that Miami was using all together?

Well since my hopes, that have been building up for months, are now utterly dashed i'm left with the decision of what smartphone to kick off my humble smart phone beginnings with.

I'm thinking it's down to the DX or the D2 Global (since i heard the redesign has that nice 1.2 GHz processor and clickier buttons than the original).

The only deterrent on the D2 Global is the slightly smaller screen compared to that of the DX. Any thoughts? my hopes were with this Dinc HD but...yeah... :icon_ nono2:

maybe if not for the fact that i have spoken to Miami and no one else has today (not speaking about admins) by CK obviously didnt because Miami is still painting a very clear picture, i dont blame whoever has lost faith its been a jerky ride but it is what it is..

Holding your breath for what? Miami was telling us back in October he would release a pic....about 3 weeks later and two other websites beat him to it. What are you holding your breath for? A 3G version?

Did Sprint knock out a 3G version of the Evo before the 4G version came? Didn't think so.

can someone please look at this and see if you see a 4g anywhere. I can only see a 3g in the left hand corner...

Centered above the wifi widget, where it usually says 3G, it's really blurry but it looks a little sharper like it could be a 4 instead of a 3 (what's up with the pic? is that a 1/8 MP camera?

Just switched from the DX to the D2G in white. The 1.2Ghz processor is nice! My phone consistently benchmarks at ~1610 right out of the box, no root, no custom roms. I had the original D2 and I'd say this upgrade puts it just slight above the DX in my opinion (i'm a fan of the physical keyboard). The size difference is acceptable for me because it's a little easier to hold in one hand and feels more like a phone rather than a tablet. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE my DX

Do u guys really think that at the busiest shopping time of year htc would wait until january to release a phone instead of nov/dec? They are to smart to do something like that.The 3g version does exist and it will be out way before christmas.Thats what i keep telling myself anyway.lol

IF the Iphone hits in January MIGHT they not want to have something lined up along the lines of an LTE superphone that will be release AFTER the Iphone? i know I wouldnt want to "shoot my wad" so to speak right now with an impending Iphone launch and have nothing lined up to keep the android faithful with yearly upgrades that weren't satisfied with the winter line-up from switching over.

I said too in reference to holding off on a motorola phone for an htc phone
