i hope apple stays with att. I want them to sign another exclusive deal. As far as with the lawsuit apple is trying to monopolize the market. The ego of steve jobs is getting too big.
nope i think they are still having problems with bugs and since it has been this late they may just wait to release it with flash on all the android devices that is capable.
"Unlocking A Device By Performing Gestures On An Unlock Image" Well if apple is gonna pull this patent they better sue LG cause my dare had touch to unlock button. haha. They are just scared cause HTC is releasing a ton of really good Android phones and at this point in the game Iphone 3gs is quickly becoming yesteryears smart phone.

You're right. I know a friend of a friend of a guy that works at Motorola and he said he hasn't been able to get his hand on 2.1 yet. Because there are still a lot of bugs that need to work out.
I don't know if they will wait to release it with flash though.

Being that it will be that late in the game and adobe is close ti releasing the flash to the market. If I am correct that the update has the flash program. I was thinking that they would release the update around the same time that adobe will be releasing the flash player to the market. It would look bad on motorola if adobe releases flash to the market and we can not install it because motorola is still finger....uhh messing around with the 2.1 update.
Funny thing is that HTC phones do not make the gestures as Apple is claiming, it is the OS that takes the gestures and translate them in to action.
Gizmodo has a good read about this from Steve Jobs from 1996: Steve Jobs, 1996: "Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal". So in computer history, Steve Jobs has stolen the GUI interface from Xerox and SJ has the balls to say this "...competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours" What about Xerox Steve. "Triumph of the Nerds"
UPDATE: More Info has Surfaced about Apple HTC Law Suit

let me know
Highly unlikely any of this will get thrown out. It will either be a big deal over time, pulling all phones from the shelf with patented material and settle out of court for an undisclosed amt of money or let the judge decide, then HTC fires all their patent attys.
Then steve job would make apple's version of google. Restricted with no flash, then apple fan boy will bow down shouting how great apple is for creating something so new and revolutionary. :hail:
It is no surprise that this hit just about a month after Google finally allowed multi-touch on the Nexus One. Virtually every patent Apple is stressing (from what I have seen so far), has "prior art" and if anything Apple runs a risk here of having one or more patents invalidated.
But this isn't about patents, this is about slowing Android down so that by the time the iPhone (LTE edition) hits, it isn't standing around like a WinMo has been.
No your wrong about that, its not about slowing down Android its about halting it. They are asking the court to ban HTC from importing Android phones to the US, which is where apples main market it.

Of course they are "asking" ... but they are never going to get the injunction. Just as they are not going to get the injunction to stop Nokia phones from coming into the US.
It is a legal game... and if they get Google to slow down... even a little, or make them second guess adding pinch and zoom to other devices, then they are getting the desired effect.
Apple can "ask" for anything, but that doesn't mean they are going to get it.
