HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

sounds good, i'd take the 14th over the 24th =)
i know a guy. and my guy isn't a sales rep or someone pulling a date out of his ass just to satisfy a potential new customer. sent me an email this morning saying the phone will be out february 14th.. letting me know he can't say anything until the official announcement comes out or he'd get in some deep ****, but i surely could let people know.
Has anyone seen the commercials for the Motorola Atrix? I'm surprised that this is already being advertised since I thought it was a ways off before being released for AT&T. Makes you think Verizon should be advertising their 4G phones. I hope we get something soon, but it would be a total flop if Verizon didn't advertise the hell out of their FIRST 4G phone before the release. Especially when iPhone is going to shadow everything. I'm hoping we get the TB on 2/14 or close to that date, but the more I think about it, the more it looks like March is more likely.

any idea if they're going to make the mystery 4G pricing mandatory for people in a non-4G market? I've heard anywhere from an extra 0-30 bucks whether you're in 4G coverage or not.. all speculation of course until the announcement is made. kinda wish the bionic was coming out a bit sooner, pretty much a coin flip. i think the dual core will need some tinkering after release though.
when is the "official" announcement? assume they're not going to really say HEY LOOK AT THIS THING with the vPhone coming out shortly before though.. \

All this speculation about dates is exciting, but it doesn't really affect me. I can't upgrade till May so I'll be watching from the sidelines for a while. I jumped the gun on my last NE2 and did not get the additional discount. Since VZW is dropping the program this will be my last chance to actually use it so I going to make myself wait. I'm sure I could scrape the money together to upgrade earlier, it's just the fact that the program is going away and I've never gotten to use it when I'm about to buy my fourth phone from the big red (fifth if you include the Touch Pro I had for 10 days).
One good thing about that is by the time I can upgrade there should be plenty of TB in stock and the droid community should have a stable version of Gingerbread running on it by then. I just wish we were seeing some more leaked info and hands on. If the phone is really dropping Feb. 14th VZW is doing a hell of a job playing this one close to the vest.
