Can I preorder from bb on there website or do I have to go to a bb store?

Nothing is official, but a lot of talk on Android Central suggests that BestBuy will offer the TB on Feb 14 while the VZW stores will get it on Feb 24. Still speculation, but the TB is showing up in BestBuy fliers and some think it may be available to pre-order as early as Sunday.

Best Buy’s advertising two new things in a Sunday ad leaked to Android Central: the debut of Buy Back – their program that allows you to “future proof” your device, and the ability to pre-order the HTC Thunderbolt for Verizon with $50 down.
As we know, Buy Back begins on Super Bowl Sunday – February 6th – and past pre-order programs are anything to go by, then February 14th doesn’t seem like a bad date to stand behind.
It could still just as easily be the heavily-rumored February 24th date, though, so don’t get too upset if you end up having to wait another week and a half. We’ll inform you whenever Verizon or Best Buy makes a formal announcement.

From what people have pieced together it looks like it might be a 24th release at BB and VZW stores/online. The 14th starts the Pre order date at BB.

This conclusion was formed from the heavy 24th rumors of release. The Pre order on the 14th rumor from Best buy was formed from the video (un-boxing video by the excited guy) that leaked showing the bar code number matching the "in stock" date from the BB leaked photo.
BB has to have some method of tracking the now confirmed pre orders. So the "in stock" on the 14th picture at BB is just a place holder for the pre orders. FWIW


Still doesn't matter to me since I want a 1 year contract and BB cant provide that.

best buy cant offer a 1 year contract?...really? This is a bummer but I can take this phone for 2 years if I had to.

A cruise? never bum about a cruise...your phone will only distract you from having a real good time...not that having a phone isnt a good time...just a cruise is flipping awesome...haha

I love cruises..only went on one for my honeymoon 3 years ago and it was a blast...forget about the phone...there will be many of them when you get back!

Just got back from a western Caribbean cruise last week. Left my phone off and in the room. It was nice not being tied to it.

I was looking at another thread and it was dated around the 19th of January and the guy on there said he talked to a best buy person that called and talked to a regional rep and said pre-orders would start the first week of feb and the phone would be released the 14th. And that was back before all the leaked pics of best buys system and all that. So hopefully its true and I will have this awesome phone in a week.

As I said before, I just talked to my friend who works at Best Buy and he said that presales will start Sunday. The unknown is when you'll get the phone. Could be the 14th, could be the 24th. But presale is happening on Sunday. I'm pretty sure you can rely on that since it's 3 days away.

I would think that if pre-orders are Sunday then it shouldn't be much more than a week to get the phone, I don't see them having preorder 2weeks or more before the phone comes out.

Not saying the Best Buy leak is fake, but how do they expect to get people to put down a $50 deposit without knowing what their final cost would be? I assume it would be refundable if the price was a lot more than someone expected.

I just don't see why they would release it best buy before vz stores. But I guess either way who cares, the sooner the better, I will be pre- ordering mine online.

Verizon store will be too busy selling iPhone... I imagine BB will be too though... verizon online crashed this morning because of iPhone orders (I just got my preorder in over the phone)... just FYI

I am gonna pre-order my TB from Verizon. And I think pre-orders will be on the 14th everywhere. But I could be wrong. Guess we just have to wait and see.
