HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I know this is asking for speculation but do you guys think there will be enough T-Bolts to meet the demand or will they quickly go on back order? While I'm heavily leaning toward the T-Bolt there's still the possibility that I could wait for the Bionic. I'm considering waiting a week to see what the user reviews are before I make my final decision.

My friend at BB talked to his rep today and he indicated that the TB would be released on the 17th at BB. Don't know if it's the same date for Verizon, or even if the 17th is 100% accurate. Dates can always change. Take it for what it's worth, but I really think we'll get some answers before Sunday.

I would think if it came out at BB on the 17th it would come out at Verizon on the same date. Wouldn't it?

Worst case scenario the battery sucks. That's it though. And I don't think it'll go on backorder till 3 days or so after... I'm assuming they learned from the Incredible and X.

So, I'm guessing they HAVE to announce 4g pricing say.......tomorrow? If the preorder goes off on Sunday I can't see them taking orders without price info for plans.

I would think so..... And if that true then Verizon website will tell us the price.... but I heard it was $249 with a two year and $349 with a one year..... I can barely afford a two year price and another two years on verizon... I dunno.

Just got back from a western Caribbean cruise last week. Left my phone off and in the room. It was nice not being tied to it.

If the TB is offered at BestBuy before the Verizon stores, will I be able to switch from AT&T to Verizon there? Or can that only happen at a VZW store?

I've seen conflicting info on this. I'd also like to be able to port my number (from AT&T, which was originally VZW and ported over two years ago so I could get a BlackBerry Bold - bleck).

That's why I'm thinking we might hear some noise tomorrow with a data plan pricing. That or they'll announce it on Sunday, but don't these announcements normally come during the week, not weekend?

Ah, but it Superbowl weekend - I'm sure this will coincide with a Verizon ad campaign for both the iPhone and 4G/Thunderbolt.
