I got a droid 2 for a droid 1 warranty replacement

Brand new D2 here and when I called to ask a few questions, this is what I got:

I was told to KEEP my D1's memory card!!! No puny 8GB for me, 16GB ALL THE WAY BABY!!!

I asked about the docking stations. The multimedia (desktop) dock fits perfectly, but the original car dock (navigation mount) does not because of the extended display housing. VZW said that because it's not anything that I did, and that I ordered it from VZW (regardless of store or online), they are sending me a D2 dock for FREE!

While the MotoBlur and VZW crapware take away from the overall Android experience, I feel like the D2 is a more solid phone.

The keyboard has taken some getting used to. ALT LOCK is where A used to be, and there's not SHIFT or ALT on the right side (annoying).

I also got a Droid 2 today! About two weeks ago I started having problems with my first Droid 1, I could hear anything coming from my handset speaker only on speaker phone. So I took it into my local Verizon store and they ordered me a replacement. This was on a Friday so I didn't get my replacment until the following Thrusday, it was a certified like new Droid 1. The same day I got it I was having problems with the headphone jack not working, so I went back into my local Verizon on Friday and they order me another replacement Droid 1. The rep said they were backed ordered so it will probably take longer than 2 days to receive my phone. Today around 11 I receive my package and it was a brand new Droid 2. By the way for the people who are wonderind it shipped out Monday and came from the Fort Worth, Texas warehouse. I'm very happy with Verizon for taking care of its customers!

I live about 15 mins from Greensboro..which Verizon store did you go to?
The lady I called today told me my like-new Droid would be here tomorrow, after she ordered it today..

yeah, the two phones probably weigh about the same, but a new D2 comes with a battery, battery door and charger accessories. a refurb D1 would only be the device, plastic-wrapped against cardboard, with no battery or battery door.

D1 (refurb) = 1lb

D2 = 2lb.

Well I can't use my tracking number Verizon gave me yet, but the package is supposed to get here tomorrow before 3PM...by the time I'll get to use it, the package will probably already be here.. lol

well I also had problems not hearing anything coming from my handset speaker only on speaker phone. so i just called in and told them the issue and they are shipping me a like new replacement so fingers crossed for a droid 2. will be getting it tomorrow. if not then the droid 1 is still a bad a$$ phone hope there is no issues to this refurbished like new phone like everyone else is having.

What I'm told is with the weight when it says 1lb that's just the default that's put in but when the package arrives in your city and is on the the truck for delivery thats when the actual weight of the package is entered in the tracking info. I seen others on android forum who ordered a brand new d2 it showed 1lb as the weight. I really don't care what comes I just want a phone that functions!
