Anyone missing Speed Dialig. I am! If u miss it contact Motorola! If we don't let them know we miss it - they simply won't know! They have determined that SD'ing was no longer needed because they gave us Voice dialing! OK, let me try that in the hospital or the movies!

you can make a contact shortcut as a substitute for now

FWIW, I successfully upgraded to JB and retained root. Was surprised at how painless it went. First off, I was running stock ICS as I don't flash ROMs. I simply unfroze all apps that were frozen. Uninstalled a couple of root only apps (just to cover myself), used Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to temporarily unroot, restarted the phone a couple of times and verified temporary no root via Root Checker, then installed the update. Voila! Successfully running rooted JB. So far no issues. I even kept my wifi hack and had to use it last night when we lost internet at home.

Was nervous about this upgrade because my last upgrade on my rooted Bionic to ICS was a nightmare. I bricked it and I had to RSDLITE the phone to stock ICS.

Hope others have as good an experience with this upgrade as I did. :happy3:

Oh, Webtop 3.0 was retained and working great on my Lapdock 100. And one more thing. The update deleted my sideloaded flash player app. I had to reinstall it and it works fine with JB.

Note: I was on the Xmas leak OTA, unrooted stock RAZR.

So I got the 98.72.16.XT912 update from Verizon last night, wasn't even aware it was downloading the thing until the Low Battery warning went off.... it drained over 20% of the battery doing it in very short order.

Anywho, I have not noticed anything new so far... what am I missing? I was sure hoping for Circles. A co-worker just got a free Razr M and those circles look cool.

I was starting to get crabby about the JB OTA leak because, I was having lagging issues like never before, and several apps would crash 5x more than ever before. Chrome was getting really slow and annoying.

Mainly, I'm hoping that this JB update OTA is not as buggy/laggy as the XmasEve Leak, and the battery hopefully gets even better.

But.... I'm getting very interested to root soon.

EDIT*** I still get com.motorola.vzw.vmm that stops everytime I reboot. I've cleared the cache partition twice now, although no FDR done. After rooting, I would use Titanium and backup things and would do an FDR.

No circles included with the JB release for the Razr/Razr Maxx. You can use an app called One More Clock that has a very similar widget.

If you want to root, do a search for Razr Blade hack. Good utility, very easy to use.

Redsnk95, is this app connected to text? Meaning when a text comes in does it show up in one of the circles? Can you set it up this way? I know I can download and play around with it but wondering since you already use it.

Or you can install the apk from the m to the RAZR. Using it right now.

DroidViews | Motorola Razr M Launcher and Circle Clock Widget for All Android Phones

Thanks for the info. Took a peek at the above URL, ad have a question regarding this APK and its refrence to "Motorola Home launcher must be activated." I dpnt want to blow up my phone, but I'm not certain what is meant by Moto Home launcher.
Install all files, then press Home button of your phone and select “Homescreen”. Please, remember that you cannot place the weather clock widget on any third party launcher homescreen. The widget only works with Motorola Home launcher activated.

If this installed, can it be uninstalled? is root needed to uninstall this APK?

Honestly I don't remember I haven't used this particular app in a few months. I get bored with clocks quickly so I change them often. Using Zooper right now.

It won't blow up your phone, lol! And yes, it can be uninstalled. What the moto home launcher is is just the stock home screens (home launcher). The circle widget will only work on that. There are several third party launchers which are very popular (Nova, Apex, Go). I have the circle widget installed on my phone but I use the Nova launcher so that circle widget app won't work on Nova.

Thanks, Tis!
It must be my day for not understanding things! LOL
You said that you have the I have the circle widget installed on your phone but u dont use the Nova launcher so that circle widget app won't work on Nova. Does this mean that u like the Nova launcher, but the circle widget wont run on Nova?
Another question: I downloaded the APKs. above, and placed them on my External SDCard. When attached via USB, I can access both the internal files on phone (drive) as well as the Ext SD Card. However, once I disconnect from the USB, I am not able to see any files on the SDCARD. I never noticed that before. It means that if I am away from a PC, I can't swap or access anything on my Ext SD Card? is that true???

Join the club...I have lots of days for not understanding things, lol!

I have the circle widget installed on my phone but I don't use it because I use Nova launcher and it won't work on Nova. The only reason I keep circle widget installed even though I don't use it, is in case I decide to try out the home launcher again.

To see the files/contents on your sdcards, use a file explorer app (such as es file explorer or file expert or root explorer).

Hope this makes sense.
