Thats far more impressive to me than what i see from mattyp's use.

When I did it a couple weeks ago I did both, from privacy settings and from recovery. Wiped everything and started with a clean slate. Been awesome ever since. :)
How do you do fdr from the "recovery" menu...where is it on our MAXXs? thx folks.

It looks like you hardly used the phone though and your down to 10%. And i dont know if your using 3G all the time, but if you are...that graph isnt impressive at all.

??
MattyP's had 60% screen on while thaDroidz had 34%. The second was sitting idle half as much. I would say they are both impressive, but Matty was definitely using his phone. Screen % is the biggest indicator of how much you use your device.

Yeah you can have the screen on and not be using your 3G or 4G though. And it seems like there was alot of internet usage from thaDroidz and not mattyp. Internet burns alot of battery.

Screen % doesn't really tell all that much about how much you use your device. Screen on time is what really shows how much a device is being used, and nearly everyone fails to report that number.

Using the internet is one of the biggest drains on the battery, but the screen far exceeds it. And based upon the percentages in the screen shot, as jstafford1 already said, thaDroidz phone appears to have been sitting idle for the vast majority of the time since the last charge while MattyP used his far more.

What is the "recovery menu"...that some are doing the fdr from? thx

You first power off the phone by pressing and holding the power button, then selecting "power off" from the menu.
Next, you press and hold all three buttons, power, and volume up & down.
It will wake to a white text screen on black background, called the "Boot Mode Selection Menu".
The choices are;
  • Normal Powerup
  • Recovery
  • AP Fastboot
  • BP SBF Flash
  • BP Only
  • BP HW Diag & Boot AP
  • BP Tools
This menu uses the volume down button to highlight the selection and the volume up button (not the power button) to select.
It should start with the "Normal Powerup" selected, and if you don't make a selection within about 10 seconds, it will reboot on its own.
Press the volume down ONCE to highlight "Recovery".
Press the volume up button to select (like the "enter" key on your computer).
The display will go black, then you'll see the Red Motorola "M" logo, then it will go black again for a good while, about 15 seconds.
Then it will display an Android on his back with the access panel on his belly open and a Red triangle with an exclamation mark.
Like the earlier menu, if you don't do something within about 15 - 20 seconds, it will reboot on its own.
Press and hold BOTH volume up and volume down then release.
You will be taken to a new menu with tiny Blue lettering on a Black background.
This menu uses both volume buttons as up and down to highlight, and the power button to select (as you would normally expect).
The choices are;
  • reboot system now
  • apply update from external storage
  • wipe data/factory reset
  • wipe cache partition
  • apply update from cache
You will volume down to highlight the third selection, "wipe data/factory reset".
Then press the power button to select it.
The next screen will be a list of "No" choices and ONE "Yes -- delete all user data", so you don't accidentally reset if you weren't absolutely sure you wanted to.
Using the volume down, cursor to highlight the "Yes -- delete all user data" selection.
Finally, press the power button, and the phone will perform the reset.
When done, you will be at the same menu, with the "reboot system now" choice highlighted.
Simply press power and you're done, the phone will reboot and you will be prompted to activate and setup just like it did out of the box when it was new.

Yep yep that's the key...

As yesterday I was at my niece 's birthday party and didn't use my phone "alot". Yes I used to check fb a few times, weather bug's radar and this forum yesterday morning and last night... also play a few turns of draw-something.

I was not on my phone constantly yesterday and screen time was low.

***8hrs of me sleeping ***

Same charge ..it's weird pretty sure my screen has been on more than an hour since yesterday morning as I have been reading these post for the last 15 minutes and have already done 3 drawings...
