Stupid question...should i do the meter training after i flash a rom? I know that on the OG Droid, it was recommended to calibrate the battery after flashing. Also, should battery stats ever be erased in the recovery menu?

No! Don't ever do the battery stat reset in recovery. I've jacked up batteries on my Bionic (shortened charge span and life span) before finding out that it really doesn't do anything. Just let it run down to 10%, shut the phone off, plug in the charger (that came with the phone), and let it charge for about 6 hours our overnight. It resets it's own stats. Hope this helps
I noticed that when I plug the wall charger into the phone the LED flashes white for a second. It did it today when I got it down to 10% and then powered off and plugged it to charge it. Is this normal for the LED to flash, or not?
Yes, it means it is healthy. A steady white light is not good. A quick white light is very good! You can check your charge status while off by pressing the volume button.

I'm using Juice Defender Ultimate, let it turn on/off data with screen off and so far my battery life has been killer. Been able to go just about 2 days on a single charge.
I like the idea of having the data turned off when the screen is off, however, when I do that it will not let any text messages through. Not sure why because messaging isn't supposed to use data unless its MMS.
Take a look at 2x Battery. This is a great application. It can automatically turn data off with screen, BUT it can be set to enable data every hour and force sync. Terrific app, this should be implemented into android stock.
I use Juice Defender to turn off data when the screen is off, and at night I use it to force disable mobile data entirely. I also use CPU Sleeper. When I wake up, I've generally lost between 4 - 5% of the battery.
