ICS on the MAXX

This is all true sorry folks but verizon holds the future of ics. so don't hold your breath or we will all be dead

Yes but Verizon will be under heavy pressure from motorola to get this update out. I am certain motorola wants this out before the galaxy SIII comes out.

That's an update that was pulled from cheesecake and is in testing internally by Motorola (and maybe Verizon). It hasn't begun rolling out to anyone in the public yet, including soak testers. Some are speculating that it may end up being what gets sent to soak testers, and then pushed out to the general public, but that's not confirmed yet.

All this means at this point is that development is continuing on the update. Start getting excited when the actual soak test starts.

Just got an email from moto about the soak test!!!! And that was for a gb update??

Imagine what's gonna happen when that gets sent out for ics :)

Well there have been a bunch of builds over the last week, so thats a good sign. I installed the .210 leak that was put out just a week ago and they are already up to what? Build .218?

I see no new news in that link about a soak test just a new leak just like the all the other leaks that have been dribbling out since April

when I see someone say they got the soak test email invite then that will be actual news that the ICS OTA is pending imho
 
Question for those who actually Lived through it - was it like this when GB and its predesessors software rollouts occurred?? The ferver surrounding ICS (is it coming, isn't it coming, It's Coming!, no it's not, When, What devices........) It is almost mind twisting. Granted 98% of the World couldn't care less, this is nerd ferver I guess (didn't know I had become one but.....)
So, is this typical or somewhat built-up and over blown?

Yep. Box arrived today, It's Official. T-shirt, pocket protector, calculator, Movie (1984) Revenge of the Nerds (on VHS, of course), pair of glasses with a wrap of surgical tape on the nose bridge.
I'm a nerd. Dang, and Mom and Dad weren't around to see it.
So, ICS Bigger than life OR Normal in this new world??
 
The change from eclaire to froyo, and froyo to gingerbread was chaotic. It was a nightmare.

That's why moto is making sure to do this one right.
