Neither your location nor your purchase date nor any other aspect of your phone determines when you will receive the OS update. Having gone through this about four or five times in the last couple of years, it is ALWAYS a random selection process and it usually takes up to a week or more to complete. Go get something to eat, go to sleep, go have a life.

I think maybe the take away is: We both live in Pa (obviously) my Son has had his phone for a couple months, I've had mine for a couple weeks. He got his update last night and I'm still waiting.
This sort of debunks the regional download theory. It is either completely random (unlikely) or it is going in order (somewhat) First came, First served. Only Fair IMO

Well we've already had one post on here that debunks that theory. A husband and wife got their maxx the same day and only one got the update.

It was an "Update" to what just happened today, kinda tough to know what all has been mentioned somewhere in 334 posts .....:icon_eek:


Also, I do in fact find it a "little" ironic that the "ranndomness" just happened to hit my HH in the exact order of how the phones came into service.

Got mine at 1:30AM this morning, downloaded and installed just perfect. Go Launcher - adding Widgets has issues - will be waiting for the GO team to fix this. Other than that, ICS is great. (Note: I did answer the email to be a part of the soak test earlier this week)
I am in the Kansas City Market area.
