ICS on the MAXX

Yes, the battery usage data is there. Since this has been a feature Android has had for a very long time, I don't see them removing that.

Its broken on my generic ICS 4.0.3 tablet, and many other tablets.
Google had released a fix for it that I don't have yet.
I'm using 3rd-party apps to measure battery usage :(

Hi there, I have just registered after reading this thread for an hour.

I have received my maxx yesterday and wanted to ask you all:

What is the percentage of your power demand of your display?

I am getting bad battery life, it lasts about a day, even if I dont use it very much. I did a FDR. I toggled the display brightness to minimum and it still soaks my battery with ~60%.

Is this normal?

Thanks for all the answers.

Not really. Try this:
Phone off, charge to 100%
Phone on, use normally until you reach 15%
Phone off again, charge to100% again.
This calibrates the battery meter. More details and the "why and how often" are in the battery threads of the battery sub-forum. Good reading, lotsa great info.
Oh...welcome to the forum!

Thanks! Yes I have read those threads too! I will train my battery in the next days.

I would like to know how much % your displays soak shown in the Battery-Menu.

Edit: Sorry for my bad English, it is not my mother language :/

Your English is just fine :)

I'm on my phone, do I have to open my browser to click on the tab(s) you mentioned?

No. From your phone, while in DroidForums, go to either the "Forums" tab or the "Current" tab that is along the bottom, go to settings, then "Clear image cache."

85% because out of everything that has used my battery, it is the display that used 85% of it. That could actually be the case if my phone was just charged to100%, I then immediately unlock my screen, check battery usage... even though it's been only 2 minutes since a 100% charge, the display has been the only thing that has used battery, so it may actually show 95% at that time.

And yes, your English is fine, although ours may be just plain horrible... mine included, lol!

Hm, good point. I hope that after some battery training I can count myself to the lucky ones that are happy with battery life on their razr maxx's with ICS.

As long as everybody gets their points and knows what the other one wants to tell you the language is great :D

Currently my screen is using 64% but normally it is less. I have my brightness set to auto because I'm lazy haha. Haven't trained my battery which I really need to do but overall I have decent battery life with moderate use.

I was having some My Gallery crashing problems that I believe I mentioned earlier. The problem turned out to be a couple of Twitter images. After some more images were posted from facebook the problem images got bumped off and everything was fine. I'm glad I didnt listened to Verizon when they said to factory reset.

Has anyone found a way to delete all your text messages? GB had an option to select messages but I do not see that on ICS
Thanks

Long press on the person who's conversation you want to delete. Should give you the option there

Long press on the top message thread and a message will pop up "1 selected" the lower right corner of that message will have a little arrow indicator, touch that arrow and you will get another pop-up and "Select ALL" will be a new choice. Select that and tap the Trash Can in the top right of the screen and PooF All Gone
