Latest bit of testing. I put the pg 65 of the XDA kfazz build on the phone and ChevyNo-1 1.25Ghz lv kernel. ADB Pushed libaudio.so and libaudioflinger.so files to /system/lib. Chmod 644 on them and reboot. I then installed the 01132012 gapps and was able to get the phone to make a phone call with full voice audio. (ie I could hear them and they could hear me). BUT after I hung up the phone would switch to AP mode in the back ground and would not come back out without a reboot. I tried to kill com.android.phone and rild but neither would bring it out of the AP mode. Even Settings -> Wireless -> AP Mode (checkbox) on/off did not work.
For some reason I logcat would not run either and I'm not sure why that happened, so I couldn't really capture anything to look at unfortunately.
The D1 I have that is not activated and I used Talkatone and Gvoice everything works great as long as I have a Wifi connection.
So I think if we can figure out this why this is going into AP mode after a call and will not come back out we would at least have a Frankenbuild that we could actually use. I will keep trying more combinations of things to see if I can get something to work. I want to update to the 03042012 gapps to see if that makes any difference. (not sure if there were any changes to Phone.apk, etc) I honestly think it is something in the framework that is not releasing the call properly, but not positive.
I've Cloned CM9 repo but haven't gotten the updates from kfazz put in yet, but until I actually have some logs to see where the problems are I would be able to make any changes anyway. I am not a dev by any means nor do I play one on TV, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once. hehe
Cush2push, any updates on your end or have you been busy with other things?
Just wanted to share what I've stumbled upon so far. Hope we can keep this going...
Excellent. That's exactly what kfazz was talking about in the last post he made. That he had a backup of a build that would work and handle calling, but after hanging up a reboot was the only fix to get the phone to function again. To be honest, that's good enough for me.
Any way to do that without adb?
I'm ready to do this when I get off work in an hour.
I too only have this droid so I have to have a working phone. But I will reboot 100 times a day to have ics. I simply don't care hahah
