My OG and DX are at -70-76, my Nexus is at -86, so I'm guessing 60-80 is probably optimal.

I'm not sure you can be comparing bars. The nexus only uses 3 and the OG Droid uses 4. So unless you have 1 bar on the Gnex and 4 on the OG, you can't tell if you have an issue.

With that said, my signal does seem a little weaker than my OG and I did have an instance where I had no data, but it was showing 2 bars of 4g. I had to toggle airplane mode to get data to work.

I'm already rooted, so I will wait for the devs to fix this. If it turns out to be a hardware problem that can't be fixed, than I'll trade it in for a new 1. It does have a 1 year warranty so no reason to rush to VZW to give them back the phone, unless you find it unbearable of course.

Oops maybe the Gnex does show 4 bars....either way I wouldn't pay much attention to the bars.

My nex was having a hard time staying locked on 4g at home until this evening.

Inside at work there is a great difference my og would work almost everywhere inside the building. With the nexus i am lucky to even get a signal in either mode once I walk in the door.

See this id the kind of stuff I worry about/don't get. I just checked my phones and the GNex is at -110db while the Bionic is at -86db... whet are about 12 inches away from each other and both on Verizon 4g.. what gives... Gnex 1 bar 3g.. Bionic 2 bar 4g.. been like that since the day I bought it.

Just for reference my Thunderbolt in my basement good 4G and 2 bars is reading -83 to -86 dbm
