Incredible 2 Battery Life?

yup battery life is excellent. I find it pretty hard to get below 50% with normal usage. hell, i've held a 2 hour conversation, streamed a 1 hour episode of games with thrones, browsed the internet, 30 minutes gps usage and the phone was still at 50% or so.

this phone is simply amazing.

Can you please tell me what your settings are on? I have everything turned off (gps, bluetooth, etc), lowered my brightness to the lowest possible, not running any apps, and I only get about 2-4 hours of use. This is my second inc 2 and both have been having this problem.

When verizon replaced it, did they also replace the battery and charger? Or did they just replace the phone?

If your signal strength is low and you are doing a lot of downloading that will use a lot of power. Try charging it and then let it sit for a few hours and see if it does well. If it does then you know it is your active usage killing it. Just some options. Your case sounds a little extreme as most users are seeing better than 2 days and at least a day on the low end.

If you have gps disabled do you have any widgets or apps set to use location? I have this cause excessive battery drain on other phones. I have everything but bluetooth enabled and get at least 2 days with heavy usage. Also do you have it set only to cdma mode?

They replaced the battery and the phone. It is the same charger. i asked for another charger too, and they said it's pointless if mine is taking me up to a full charge. Also, I have two bars of signal. Only downloaded 3 apps, facebook, twitter, and words with friends. I have made all settings so that it does not sync automatically. I have taken every piece of advice in the 17 pages on here, and I am tired. About ready to just re-activate my blackberry. I don't have the option to charge throughout the day. And I would be happy with getting a day or most of a day out of my phone. But it's consistently 3 hours at most.

Words with friends is a HUGE battery hog. It updates all the time in the background. Try uninstalling it for a few days and see how it goes.

I'm at 25 hours and I'm at 30%.

After the 2nd update, I was at 30% or so after 8 hours. That was after a run of 3 days without a charge. I'm back to my usual 1-1.5days on a charge.

Anybody buy the extended battery for this yet?

Yes I have, well kind of. Was going on my 5th Dinc1 so got into an argument with VZW about it, long story short they sent me a Dinc2 free of charge and since they couldn't find a stock battery when ordering it the sent me an extended battery with cover all free of charge!

I'm still braking in the battery, I think. I will get about 18 hours of use 6am to about 12am with heavy use all day. All settings are set at default screen is on auto, playing HD games here and there, on the web about 70% of the time (web is set to desktop), video calling, and normal calling, and about 1-2 hours of playing music (pandora), GPS on, and WiFi on. So its not to bad, all of that would have killed my Dinc1 in 4 hours.

If all your settings are default, one thing you may want to change is the network mode to CDMA only. A lot of people have poor battery life in global mode, likely because it may search for a gsm signal if the cdma is low. Could help that last longer. I can get the usage you listed on my standard battery plus another 12 hours or more of standby time.

it's weird, every charge i get a different result. ive used my phone a decent amount in the past day and im at 50% after 25 hours. thats awesome.

tomorrow ill charge it, use it a little and be down to 50% after 6 hours.

My display was on for 38 minutes. Display is 44%, Maps is 24%, voice calls is 12%, phone idle is 8%, and dialer is 3%. I take it off the charger in the morning and go to work, never using wifi, and it's down to 80% in an hour. I turned off sync for Google News widget, put Remember The Milk to manual, as well as Evernote. Any ideas?

Has your days been routine or different? It could be the phone searching for signal draining the battery when you go to different places.

And darin. Please you have posted in about 3 different forums. Just stick to the one me and some other people answered you on. Thanks

Thank you. I guess I just got anxious about getting the issue fixed. I've only been at home and work and I work in the City and live in another city. I thought it was my sync services...ie Remember the Milk, Evernote, News widgets, but after turning those off it became apparent that others are still getting a better battery life.

Have you guys done anything to your phones? I got my inc2 on friday night and saturday it was fully charged at about 7am and i had to charge it about 4 hours later. I turned a lot of stuff off and set mail and status updates to manual but I was playing games on it the whole time. Is that normal?

Give it some time to condition the battery, after a week or so you should be much better battery life. Two days isn't enough time.
