Ipad 2 just killed the Xoom

You know what. If everybody had an iPad and a Droid they'd see how great both products are. I love my D2, it works great and I plan on keeping it for a while. I also love my iPad and my iMac. It's just an appreciation for both devices.
Xoom may be better then the new iPad but the iPad is going to out sell it. That's because as czerdrill pointed out earlier most people don't care about rooting, customizing and all that other stuff. When the Xoom was introduced did you hear a word about it on your local news? I didn't. But i sure heard about the iPad today.

Ummm, you **DO** realize you are on a forum that includes a majority of people that LIVE for that sort of thing, don't you?
Now, I will agree that a MAJORITY don't care, but I do. And I buy for ME, not someone else.
You'd be surprised that even the MAJORITY of members on this forum don't care about rooting and ROM-ing. This forum is less than 1% of total android users, and even less of that 1% actually root their devices...ask a moderator if you don't believe me. When OTAs come out, all the old members come out of the woodwork. Ones who don't root, ROM, overclock or customize. I would guess that saying even 1/2 of 1% is overgenerous as far as rooters...
And congrats, you proved my point. You buy for you. So do the ios users. I was talking to the people who call them brainwashed cultists.

I just hate that Apple loyalists think they're better than everyone because Apple as a company acts like their doesn't stink. As far as I'm concerned Apple loyalists are USUALLY arrogant pricks and Apple as a company is overbearing, brainwashing, and authoritarian.
That being said, there are plenty of users that use apple for some products and other brands for other products. And most of the time these people don't have the "holier than thou" attitude the apple loyalists exhibit. However the title of this thread is clearly coming from someone who thinks "because its apple, its the best" and I just feel the need to inform them that they are a fool and their claims are unjustified.

I never said apple is the only company with these characteristics but they are most certainly the worst offender. In my opinion Google is a very good company but some others involved aren't particularly great, for instance I'm not big on HTC, and Motorola is sometimes more worried about their wallet than anything. And Microsoft is terrible, they shaft you at every available opportunity but even Microsoft doesnt have the brainwashing effect that apple does. Clearly youre offended by my comments about Apple but its not like I'm pulling this stuff outta my butt. Apple acts they way they act, I don't have anything to do with that, I'm just bringing it to your attention, so don't shoot the messenger.
