Is anyone the tiniest bit jealous of the iPhone 4s?

Tapped from a Galaxy Nexus

Alot of iphone users I've talked to love how smooth the operating system is compared to android but the one main thing I hear is "music is so much more organized using apple products". It's true. Ipod docks are everywhere now even cars. This is another area that android is lacking in, but I digress.

All I'm saying is if you show Iphone users what they're missing out on many would be very impressed.

I would even go so far as to say a majority of them aren't even aware of the benefits of Android and maybe they choose not to become aware, which is fine.

I've witnessed many of my friends who have the Iphone 4 or 4s that are very jealous of the Nexus' larger screen, widgets and 4g speeds. Some of them even said they'd be willing to switch for those benefits but many of them still choose the Iphone because as I said before, they've expressed to me that they feel they're stuck in the ecosystem, they're afraid to venture too far from what they've become accustom to which is only natural.

The fact of the matter is 1% of users root their Android Devices. Just like 1% jailbreak their iDevices.

What you are leaving out is the fact that the iPhone works, plain and simple. And works well. Battery will last all day without reaching for a charger. There are many reasons why a person chooses their device. When it comes to open source, Android and WinMo are the obvious that come to mind. When it comes to just getting a great phone you want to use without it force closing or battery drain from 80-20% in an hour or the need for unlocking rooting or jailbreaking, iPhone was a much better decision. Coming from the 99% us users. I think there are cool things happening within both Operating Systems. IMO.
But honestly, you can't debate the benefits from Andy to the average Joe. Chances are they are scared to death of Rooting or hacking and more importantly, they are the 99%.

Every point I made has nothing to do with rooting/romming, it's all available on stock.

Ask 4S users about their battery lasting all day.

my girl has a 4s and gets a good 36+ hours out of hers on a single charge and she uses it constantly for work.

Sounds like my battery life on my 4S, runs great. I can pull it off in the morning and not have to worry at all about charging over the course of the day. Not at all.

And some on here would be surprised at the number of Android users that switched to iPhones. Beyond that, these were Android power users, not simple, every day Android users.

Look, both have their benefits, both have their detriments. Both are necessary for the smartphone ecosystem. One user over another is not more or less intelligent due to the device they are using.

So for the love of God people, knock off the friggin' animosity, on both sides. And no, I'm not targeting anyone in particular. It's tiring.

My wife has the 4s and we had the battery issue, so I'm assuming we weren't alone since Apple even addressed it publicly. So let's not act like it didn't exist.

same with my girls. she's on it constantly and only charges it every one and a half to two days. i think the whole bad 4s battery thing is overblown or maybe apple pushed a fix i dunno.

like jkhonea said, both sides are great. One side works for some, the other doesn't. but an individual simply is not a smarter person for choosing android. that's all kinds of preposterous haha...

there's stuff to be jealous of iphone for just as there is for android imo

Did I say anything about a battery issue not existing? No, I didn't. Apple addressed it in two weeks with an OS update. Now let's see, there is the well known battery issue from HTC. When was that addressed or corrected? Oh that's right, it STILL hasn't. And it existing for the life of my Inc and Inc 2. It only improved after I rooted and could get more control of it. But that never fixed the charging issue.

Actually, no, I'm sick and have been for several days. But what does irritate me is one sided arguments.

So now I'm arguing a one sided opinion, yet I own a 4s, I see.

Sorry, didn't mean it like that. It was more about the overall thread and not you specifically.

There are elements of Android that I do miss. The extreme levels of customization were nice as were changing ROM's. But they all came with a tradeoff. And the other issue I see with Android is there is always a middle man between software releases from Google and the handsets, with the exception of the Nexus, which causes problems. The Nexus and iPhone are alike in the expediency that they get updates out, which is really nice.

Not being a smartass, did that update help your battery at all? My wife's 4 was down initially but the update fixed it. I got my 4S after the update so I never saw the true battery life on it with the initial release.
