Is Motorola working on an update to fix ics battery for RAZR?

i am on a maxx, they cahnged my razr to a razr maxx. I was thinking, maybe sell my maxx out right with otterbox case, and then buy a used s3 or even a bionic with extended battery, something that gets 5+ hrs of use

If you are on the Maxx now then we should figure out what is causing your bad battery life, you are not going to find a phone out right now that can beat the Maxx in those terms.

Do you have it set to 4G all the time or do you use the TB App to change it to CDMA only? Try that battery monitor I suggested or even what does your stock battery meter say is using all your battery now? Screen should be the top contented for battery consumption, if something is using more than the screen that might be your problem.

2-3hrs, are u on ics? what did u do to get that good battery life

Are you talking screen time? Or total time? I'm on the regular RAZR i have been in my phone all morning i have 2 and a half hours of screen time and I'm down to 40% i am on ics

I have been unplugged for 3h 27m 47s and I am still a 90% left, and that is after a 20 minute phone call, corporate email syncing, two Gmail accounts syncing, some text messaging, Draw Something, and Tweetcaster updating.

You have something draining your battery at an alarming rate, I would be curious to see what it is with a better battery monitor.

Sydman is right. There is an underlying issue here. I have the regular Razr (I know shameful), I'm averaging 11-14 hours a day depending on use right now. I'm rooted, running .215. Can you at least put up a screen shot of what is currently using the battery?

update: I should add that I mostly leave 4g on.

ok, so download battery monitor? we looking for a app draining it or? mean it did it on custom rom also

i was charging it for like 30mins on my computer, will let it be used then put up a pic, i do have some from last night tho

When I first rooted I had a media process that was popping up and draining my battery. I was getting 5 hours until I figured it out. Apparently when I use Root Explorer it starts some media process (weird I know), once I force closed that and cleared my cache, I haven't had a problem.

something is causing a big problem for sure. By the way have you tried the battery meter training? It could be that the meter is really off

I think for best results foxkat has suggested two charges in a row. Without minor charges in between. I personally have found it hard to make this happen, but going into the weekend i can usually find the time

should i root and freeze a ton of apps to see if that helps? umm, or check / monitor something else?
