Oh ok, how do I do that again ?

I need to reboot and press volume buttons together, right ? and then what ?

Edit: just found this:

https://forums.motorola.com/posts/6263ef0dde

And do I need to back up my contacts, texts, etc..before I do ?

Messing with my contacts is my least favorite part after I lose my data.. I'm sure some will know what I'm talking about.. the way different Android contacts get weirdly joined and all the FB contacts you have to manually join.. etc. So hopefully I don't have to do that again

That's all data cache is different just wipe it

So I did it and so far, seems faster.

Still can't get my hotmail emails to show up in the stock email app for some reason. I used K9 last time with an ICS leak, this time I downloaded Hotmail app. Weird

You could try removing the account and even removing and reinstalling the app, then add your account. I have had to do that with exchange accounts to get them to work after a ics upgrade.

Thanks, I tried removing the acct, re-adding it back through their process that guessed my email account handle (saved in their system or something) - did nothing. I mean it looked like it worked, except it still said "no messages"

Next, I removed that account, and tried adding again, this time without restoring the old account - and it's finally starting to work. Of course, I'm using a very loose definition of the word "work". It's starting to download emails, but I can't see the body of the email - only the subject and the sender. And the only ones that have downloaded are from one sender, newest one being from 10/12. I've encountered this before the first time I tried an ICS leak, which is when I had to switch to the K9 app. Was really hoping not to have to do that this time. Oh well.

Edit: now I'm starting to see bodies of emails, but it's still only from that one sender. Maybe I just gotta give it time

Well, here it is, day 2. It seems like I've got to clean the cache every 2-3 hours. Before ICS, only did it once a day to every other day. My bionic still has lag. Very slow. BIG BATTERY DRAIN. Very disappointed with ICS so far.

Maybe you should do what people have suggested on here instead of just complaining? I find it hard to believe you are "having" to wipe your cache every 3 hours. And what cache are you wiping for that matter?

I can't complain about battery life myself. Was on .232 for so long that I got used to it draining quickly and getting laggier with time. .246 has been great so far though, and I'm not the only that seems to think so. So there is obviously a fluke on your end somewhere.

If you're having that much of a problem, do an FDR, start from scratch. Then calibrate your battery. And make sure to back up your contacts with google.

I've got to know what cache you're clearing multiple times a day as well. To me that sounds like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer because it feels so good when you stop. If I clear my system cache EVER unless I'm flashing that's too often.

Well I was so frustrated with my bionic last night I pulled the battery, put it back in, left the phone off, plugged in the charger, and left the phone off overnight. This morning, she's running a lot smoother with not as much lag. HOWEVER, battery drain issue still persists. Can't wait to get the note 2.

Well, you're part of the way to power system optimization. Are you debloated at all? If so by freezing or by uninstalling/deleting?

Well people. I just went to a US cellular store to test out the galaxy note 2. Holy crap batman. It's incredible. Smooth, fast, good feel to it, and it does fit in your shirt or pants pocket. If you've got an upgrade, check this beast out.
