Just switched from a GN to Razr

And when the razr gets its ICS update, the nexus owners will be laughing our asses off at all of those haughty owners who are ripping their hair out because their precious razr is full of bugs.

I like the razr, don't get me wrong, but no **** a phone running a version of Android that's been out for almost a year now is going to run better out of the box then a phone with a brand new version of android. Motorola has had a year to tweak and bloat up gingerbread. Obviously there will be less bugs. Hurrrr.

We kinda go way back (also on the DroidX forum) I'm curious to see what you think. Both are great phones.

All I will say to that is this:

SO many ppl claimed the G Nex was the greatest phone ever....before it even came out. Yea it happens with other phones too....but I think most just assumed that since it was a Nexus and stock Android all was gonna be great with it, very few issues....even with it being an update to a radically new OS for Android phones. Most assumed everything with it was gonna be a smooth experience...or smoother than what it is right now. I never mentioned Samsung and their history of reception issues in weak, bad reception areas until all the threads started popping up about the G Nex. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, like I did with the GS2.

What we must do is stop putting these phones, devices on giant pedestals. If one really looks at each of the phones out.....none are 'clearly', 'hands down', 'without a doubt' etc. better than the other. They all are so similar, change a few specs n features here n there and they are all the same phone.

And some ppl just assumed that ICS was gonna run alot smoother than Blur on the RAZR, just because it was a Nexus and stock Android. I have yet to see a perfect phone or the greatest phone ever released.

If someone posts in the Razr forum that they switched from the GN why is it that GN owners have to come here and flame them?

I do know that I dont plan on exchanging for multiple phones. My luck with phones, tech in general has been damn near perfect. Only phone I ever had to exchange was for a bad ESN. Every 1st phone I got worked and worked well....after the Omnia 1...that was a train wreck that ran me into the arms of Android...lol

I got 14 days to decide if I keep it or not. I might keep my family plan or go back to a single line, dont really know yet. I did say ICS might be enough to make me switch to a family plan. Will see how it does.

I've been super lucky as well. Never one issue with any of my smart phones! In fact, I was a bit worried about leaving Moto for that reason but Google made one heck of a phone with the GN (sitting here with them side by side). I'm 100 % satisfied just as I was with the Moto's.

Been lurking here for a while and I've been following both phones for a bit before I finally bought one or the other. In the end, I took the Razr, but for the life of me, I cannot understand the crap between phone users at all? Maybe it's my old age at 39, but it's a phone.

I mean...it's a phone and a REALLY small computer with wireless internet, lol. That's it. Oh..and a crappy camera. I have yet to see a phone that is anything more than that. I would think just pulling out a laptop would be a lot more useful if you REALLY wanted something with some power. Call me crazy. LOOK!!! Ma phone is super awesome!! I can go blind reading these forums on a 4 inch screen!!! It's silly. Maybe people are losing sight of what really matters in life. It's a phone guys. Nothing more. Verizon is loling their way to the bank over all of this nonsense.

My 1st post. Not typed on my Razr.

At least he kept it on the Android family so kudos for that. Too bad GNex owners have to feel all butt hurt and come in here flaming. Just shows how their mentality levels will sink down to

Are you kidding me? The first 3 pages of this thread is razr owners flaming the gnex.

Lol yup. Idk why people care what other people use or prefer. I hold no allegiance! I like both iOS and Android os :) happy with my gnex. There's 15 roms for it in two weeks! And I don't think there's a version of android without bugs lol. Pretty sure Froyo is still buggy.

How so? I too had a hands on with the nexus and it felt cheaply made and flimsy. ICS is nice but I along with others can wait for it to appear on our razrs. The best image I have is seeing my teammate at work bragging how the GNex is the greatest thing ever then he drops his phone and the screen shattered. He is right about one thing his phone is the greatest ever...a useless brick with a cracked screen lol

Man was I fired up to get Froyo back in the day. Gave my stock OG 5 home screens instead of 3! :D
