Keep getting facebook event notifications but there are no actual invites

I'm having this problem since yesterday. Every few minutes, I keep getting the notification that I have new facebook event invitations. Sometimes it says 1 new event invite and at other times, it says I have 3 new invitations. But when I go to see the event, there is no new event. I am not getting the emails about the invitations and I don't see them when I log onto facebook from my computer, so I know there is something wrong with the facebook app. I tried logging out and logging back in but that didn't help.

Ive been having the exact same issue for about two weeks. Utterly annoying. They REALLY need to do something about this crappy app.

I was having the same issue, so I just opened the app, went to settings, then unchecked event invites.

Yea, I get actual event invites all the time, that's annoying in itself. Then when I started getting empty ones, I had to figure something out lol.
