[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

Run primed in a su terminal, then edit the 900000/60 'echo' lines in /etc/init.d/20overclock to read as this:

echo "80" > /proc/overclock/max_vsel
echo "1250000" > /proc/overclock/max_rate

I don't condone this as a vsel of 80 can be damaging but it is fast, here is an RL Benchmark from 1250mhz

I usually use Chevy's ulv 1.25 and Pete's lv 1.25 for easy setup and no issues...any idea what their vsels are?

supercharged modified liquid 3.1 w/turbocharged 3g
Pete's 5 slot lv 1.25GHz w/ kickasskernel tweaks
19.9 linpack score
1856 quadrant score

At 1250mhz the vsel must be around 80 or the device will lock up. I posted Chevys vsel values somewhere, can't remember if it was this thread or another.

I will add a few scripts in an update that will allow for 1250mhz.

so at this point which is better, the previous kernel or the test, i know better is subjective to each droid, but you know what i am getting at. to flash or not to flash and wait for the next

The current test seems MUCH easier on the battery than 20, possibly a bit better than 19 was. So far seems much zippier than 20 as well. The bumblebee governor has actually been pretty good to me this time around, minus some issues Prime already mentioned.

Thanks for testing. I am going to wait until the next release to update the OP.

I almost have my development machine ready so it shouldn't be long.

seems same to me. I had a performance improvement but that's from wiping the dalvik cache.Prime, who or what handles when 3G is shut off after Wifi is connected? Is that handled within the kernel or does the kernel just get commands from the androidOS (commands which are presumably coming from inside the "wifi connected/disconnected" events

Android handles it, having an issue?

you are awesome prime...i can never get the vsels and slots set up right...i figure 250MHz, 400 MHz, 550 MHz, 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1100MHz and 1250MHz were good slots but i never get the vsels quite right
btw is the i/o scheduler supposed to be cfq? isnt noop or deadline the best for flash memory? (zepplinrox kickasskernel tweak says its normally cfq but noop is available)

That is too many slots ;-)

Not in my experiences (CFQ offers better UI responsiveness).

Your newest has been working fine for me so far. Runs similar to the great performance I was getting with 20.

I appreciate your work prime. Looking forward to the next release to try.
